1979-494RESOLUTION NO. 79R -494 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM ORDERING THE VACATION AND ABANDON- MENT OF LA JOLLA STREET, EASTERLY OF KRAEMER BOULEVARD. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did, by resolution duly posted and published, give notice of its in- tention to vacate and abandon the public street or alley herein after described; and WHEREAS, on the 28th day of August, 1979. a public hearing was held to allow interested persons to submit evidence concerning said proposed vacation and abandonment; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find, from the evidence submitted, that the public street or alley hereinafter specifically described is unnecessary for pres- ent or prospective public street purposes; and WHEREAS, the City Council does determine that the public convenience and necessity require the reservation and exception of the easement(s) and right(s) of way hereinafter specifically de- scribed. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Anaheim does hereby order the vacation and abandonment of La Jolla Street from Kraemer Boulevard to a point approximately 1,212 feet easterly of Kraemer Boulevard, more specifically de- scribed as follows: Those portions of Lots 3, 4, 5 and 6 in Block 4 of the Golden State Tract, in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, as per map recorded in Book 4, pages 66 and 67, Miscellaneous Maps, rec- ords of said Orange County, described as follows: The southerly 20 feet of the East half of said Lot 3; the northerly 20 feet of said Lots 5 and 6; the southerly 32 feet of said Lot 4 and the West half of said Lot 3 and that portion of said Lot 4 de- scribed as a spandrel- shaped parcel in easement deed recorded January 30, 1969 in Book 8860, page 225, Official Records of said Orange County. All said portions of Lots 3, 4, 5 and 6 lying east- erly of a line parallel with and easterly 53 feet from the centerline of Kraemer Boulevard as described in said easement deed recorded in Book 8860, page 225, Official Records of said Orange County. -1- 78 -22A Reserving unto the City of Anaheim, a municipal corporation, an easement for public utility purposes over, under and across the northerly 20 feet of said Lots 5 and 6 and the westerly 250 feet of the north- erly 10 feet of the southerly 32 feet of said Lot 4. Also reserving unto the Southern California Gas Company an easement for an existing 2" natural gas main and related facilities along with rights of in- gress and egress for maintenance purposes over, under and across the northerly 20 feet of said Lots 5 and 6; said reservation is subject to the prior rights of the City of Anaheim for public utility purposes, reserved unto the City of Anaheim in the preceding paragraph of this resolution. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed to cause a certified copy of this Resolution and Order, attested by her under the seal of the City of Anaheim, to be recorded in the Office of the County Re- corder of Orange County, California. THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 28th day of August, 1979.
