A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM DEDICATING CERTAIN CITY -OWNED
PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM FOR PUBLIC
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has heretofore acquired
certain real property within the corporate limits of the City
of Anaheim for public purposes; and
WHEREAS, said property, commonly known as a portion
of City -owned property, is located at the east side of Brook
hurst Street, north of Katella Avenue, in the City of Anaheim;
and
WHEREAS, it is indicated and anticipated that the
City of Anaheim will dedicate a certain portion of City -owned
property for public purposes; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be in
the best interests of the City of Anaheim to dedicate a
portion of its City -owned property for public purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that it dedicate, and it does hereby
dedicate, as an easement for public street and highway
purposes, the following described land situated in the City of
Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, more
particularly described as follows:
An easement for road and public utility purposes over,
under, along and across the Westerly 60 feet (as
measured to the centerline of Brookhurst Street) of
that portion of the West half of the West half of
Section 20, Township 4 South, Range 10 West, in the
Rancho Los Coyotes, as per map recorded in Book 51,
page 10, Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County,
described as follows:
Beginning at the southeast corner of Tract No. 1871,
as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 55, pages
33 and 34, Miscellaneous Maps, records of said Orange
County; thence S 0° 19' 25" E, 175 feet along the
east line of the West half of the West half of said
Section 20 to an intersection with the north right of
way line of the Southern Pacific Railway, as shown on
said map of Tract No. 1781; thence N 89° 42' 15" W
along said northerly right of way line 1,330.75 feet
to the west line of said Section 20; thence N 0° 21'
30" W along said west line a distance of 175.00 feet
to an intersection with the westerly prolongation of
the south line of said Tract No. 1781; thence S 89°
42' 15" E along said prolongation and along the south
line of said Tract No. 1781; a distance of 1,330.85
feet to the point of beginning.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and
she is hereby, authorized and directed to record a certified
copy of this resolution in the Office of the County Recorder
of the County of Orange.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by
the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 28th day of August,
1979.
