90-007 RESOLUTION NO. 90R-7
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE LAND
USE ELEMENT OF THE ANAHEIM GENERAL PLAN DESIG-
NATED AS AMENDMENT NO. 265, EXHIBIT "A."
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim, pursuant to the
recommendations of the Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim,
adopted a General Plan for the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, on the 20th day of November, 1989, the City
Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim did hold a public
hearing to consider a General Plan Amendment. The General Plan
Amendment does consider changing the land use designation for the
area of land consisting of approximately 4.5 acres and described
as follows
PARCEL A: Having a frontage of approximately 128 feet
on the east side of Lemon Street, having a maximum depth
of approximately 275 feet and being located
approximately 200 feet north of the centerline of
Orangethorpe Avenue and further described as 1730 North
Lemon Street.
PARCEL B: Consisting of two lots and located at the
northeast corner of Lemon Street and Orangethorpe
Avenue, having approximate frontages of 148 feet on the
east side of Lemon Street and 279 feet on the north side
of Orangethorpe Avenue, having a maximum depth of
approximately 27S feet and further described as 75-77
East Orangethorpe Avenue.
PARCEL C: Having a frontage of approximately 193 feet
on the north side of Orangethorpe Avenue, having a
maximum depth of approximately 275 feet located
approximately 324 feet east of the centerline of Lemon
Street and further described as 99 East Orangethorpe
Avenue,
PARCEL F: Having a frontage of approximately 295 feet
on the north side of Orangethorpe Avenue, having a
maximum depth of approximately 274 feet and being
located approximately 1,024 feet east of the centerline
of Lemon Street and further described as 145-151 East
Orangethorpe Avenue; and

WHEREAS, at said public hearing, the City Planning
Commission did duly adopt its Resolution No. PC89-279 containing a
report of its findings, a summary of the evidence presented at
said hearing, and recommending that said Amendment to the General
Plan designated as Amendment No. 265 be adopted by the City
Council changing the land use designation for the aforedescribed
areas to "General Commercial" in accordance with Exhibit "A"; and
~HEREAS, upon receipt of said Resolution, summary of
evidence, report of findings and recommendations of the City
Planning Commission, the City Council did fix the 2nd day of
January, 1990, as the time, and the City Council Chamber in the
Civic Center as the place for a public hearing on said proposed
Amendment No. 265 and did give notice thereof in the manner and as
provided by law; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did duly hold and conduct such
public hearing and did give all persons interested therein an
opportunity to be heard, and did receive evidence and reports and
did consider the recommendations of the City Planning Commission;
and
~HEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that
Amendment No. 265 changing the land use designation in the
aforedescribed areas in accordance with Exhibit "A" on file with
the City should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that Amendment No. 265 to the General Plan
changing the land use designation for the aforedescribed areas to
"General Commercial" in accordance with Exhibit "A" on file with
the City be, and the same is hereby, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Planning Department be,
and it is hereby, instructed to amend the General Plan Map to
conform to General Plan Amendment No. 265 as herein adopted and
approved.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 2nd day of January, 1990.
