A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM DECLARING CERTAIN MUNICIPAL PROPERTY AS
NO LONGER NEEDED FOR PUBLIC USE .~-~I? AUTHORIZING
THE TKA!'~SFER OF SDJ[E.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim is the owner of numerous
used, worn or obsolete items of police equipment such as
uniforms, batons, and other uniform accessories and the Anaheim
Police Department has determined these items no longer are
needed for public use; and
WHEREAS, the market value of the individual items of
equipment have been determined to be $100 or less; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that transferring the
used, worn or obsolete items of police equipment such as
uniforms, batons, other uniform accessories to other Public Law
Enforcement or Public Law Enforcement Affiliated Agencies in
the United States and Mexico will promote good will and be
beneficial toward fostering positive relations; and
WHEREAS, the City Council further finds that it would
be in the best interest of the City of Anaheim to transfer
used, worn or 6bsolete items of police equipment such as
uniforms, batons, other uniform accessories without cost to
assist other Law Enforcement Agencies, or Public Law
Enfarcement Affiliated Agencies
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Anaheim hereby authorizes the Chief of Police to
transfer used, worn or obsolete items of police equipment such
as uniforms, batons, and other uniform accessories, without
cost to those Agencies he so designates.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted
