LEIS, heretofore, to wit, on the 23rd dav of May, 1967, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did adopt Raesolu- tion No. 67R-284 finding and determining that public convenience and necessity required the construction and completion of a public improvement consisting of the construction of the Santa Ana Canyon South River Trunk Sewer Improvement, 900 feet north of the Santa Ana Canyon Road from 1900 feet east of the Imperial Highway to 230 feet west thereof, and 1900 feet east of the Imperial Highway from 1240 feet north of the East Eound Santa Ana Canyon Road to 55 feet south thereof (all distances approxi- mate), partly in the City of Anaheim and partly in the County of Orange, Job No. 1310, and WHEREAS, the City Council did authorize and direct the City Clerk to publish a notice according to law inviting sealed proposals for the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and equipment, and all utilities and transportation, including power, fuel and water and performing all work neces- sary to construct and complete said public improvement, and fixing the 15th day of June, 1967 at the hour of 200 o'clock P.M. as the date and hour for the opening of said bids in the Council Chamber in the City Hall, in the City of Anaheim and WHEREAS, upon said 15th day of June, 1967, at the hours of 200 o'clock P.H., the City Clerk and City Engineer did open all bids received up to that hour, in public, in the City Hall, in the City of Anaheim, and the City Engineer did tabulate all bids so received and did report the result thereof to the City Council at its regular meeting held on the 27th day of June, 1967, and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that all bids received are in excess of the estimate of the City Engineer of the cost of said public improvement and are not representative of actual construction costs; that said bids should be rejected, and some changes in extent and design of the work made which will result in more competitive bids; and that said job should be readver- Used at a later date. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that all bids received. up to the hour of 200 o'clock P.M. on June 15, 1967, tabulated by the City Engi- neer, and submitted to the Council on June 27, 1967, for the construction of the Santa Ana Canyon South River Trunk Sewer Improvement, 900 feet north of the Santa Ana Canyon Road from 1900 feet east of the Imperial Highway to 230 feet west thereof, and 1900 feet east of the Imperial Highway from 1240 feet north of the East Bound Santa Ana Canyon Road to 55 feet south there- of (all distances approximate), partly in the City of Anaheim and partly in the County of Orange, Job No. 1310, be, and the same are hereby rejected; and that some changes in extent and design of the work be made which will result in more competitive bids; and that said job be readvertiseC at a later date.
