A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DISCONTINUING
WATER SHORTAGE PLAN II, ORDERING
THE IMPLEMENTATION OF WATER
SHORTAGE PLAN I, AND REDUCING
ANAHEIM~S WATER CONSERVATION TARGET
WHEREAS, the City Council has heretofore adopted Ordinance
No. 5204, adding Chapter 10.18 to Title 10 of the Anaheim
Municipal Code relating to Water Shortages, and Resolution No.
91R-65, finding that a Water Shortage exists in the City of
Anaheim and ordering the implementation of Water Shortage Plan
II; and
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Water District of Southern
California has reduced its mandatory cutback of firm and non-firm
deliveries to its member agencies, including Anaheim, effective
April 1, 1992.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Council hereby finds and determines that
a Water Shortage continues to exist in the city of Anaheim.
2. That the City Council hereby reduces Anaheim's target
for water conservation from fifteen percent to ten percent.
3. That the City Council hereby discontinues Water
Shortage Plan II and orders the implementation of Water Shortage
Plan I, as set forth in Section 10.18.060, which encourages
reduction of water use on a voluntary basis through certain water
conservation measures.
4. Capitalized terms used in this Resolution shall have
the meanings as set forth in Section 10.18.020 of the Anaheim
Municipal Code.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 7th day of April,
1992.
