A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM DETER%INING THE NECESSITY
FOR, AND DIRECTING THE ACQUISITION, BY
EMINENT DOMAIN, OF REAL PROPERTY FOR
HIGHWAY EASEMENT AND PUBLIC UTILITY
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, public convenience and necessity require the
acquisition of certain real property within the City of Anaheim
for the following purposes, to wit: highway easement and public
utility purposes; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that
public interest and necessity require the acquisition of all
that real property herein described, by the City of Anaheim for
highway easement and public utility purposes.
NOw, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that Public interest and necessity require
the acquisition of the following described real property, to
wit:
All that certain real property situated in the City
of Anaheim., County of Orange, State of California,
described as follows:
PARCEL ONE:
An easement for road and public utility purposes over,
under and across the following described property:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of the Northwest
quarter of Section 27, Township 4 South, Range 10 West,
S.B.B.& M_M., said Southwest corner being the center
line intersection of Orangewood Avenue and West
Street; thence North 89° 43' 32" East along the center
line of Orangewood Avenue, 89.47 feet; thence
North 0 16' 28" West, 45 feet to a point on a line
that is parallel with and distant 45 feet North of
said center line of Orangewood Avenue; thence
Westerly along said parallel line 20 feet to the
beginning of a tangent curve concave Northeasterly
and having a radius of 25 feet; thence Westerly and
Northerly along said curve through a central angle
of 91 24' 08" an arc distance of 39.88 feet to a
point on a line that is parallel with and distant
45 feet Easterly of the center line of West Street;
thence North 1 07' 40" East, 20.00 feet; thence
North 88° 52' 20" West 15 feet to a point on a
line that is parallel with and distant 30 feet
Easterly of the center line of West Street;
thence North 01 07' 40" East, 328.92 feet; thence
North 0° 49' 05" West 240.18 feet to a point on the
Southerly line of that land deeded to Ida M. Carey
by Document Number 8109, recorded March 26, 1931
in Official Records of Orange County, said point
being North 89° 46' 15" East, 42 feet from said
center line of West Street; thence South 89° 46' 15"

West, 42 feet to an intersection with said center
line of West Street; thence South 0° 49' 05" East
along said center line 660.02 feet to the point of
beginning.
PARCEL TIvO:
An easement for road and public utility purposes over,
under and across the North 35 feet of the East 50 feet
of the Southwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of
Section 27, Township 4 South, Range 10 West, partly
in the Rancho San Juan Cajon de Santa Ana, and
partly in the Rancho Las Bolsas, as shown on a i•iap
recorded in Book 51, page 10 of Miscellaneous Maps,
records of Orange County, California.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council find,
and it does hereby find and determine, that public interest
and necessity require the acquisition of said property by the
City of Anaheim for the aforesaid purposes, and that the taking
of the property hereinabove described is necessary therefor,
and that the uses to which it is to be put are uses authorized
by law, and the taking of said property is necessary to such
uses.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does
hereby authorize the acquisition of said property by the City
of Anaheim, and the City Attorney of the City of Anaheim is
hereby directed to institute an action in eminent domain for the
acquisition of the title to said property, and to perform and
carry out all of the necessary proceedings and steps incident to
the acquisition of the title to said property and to obtaining
immediate possession thereof.
