1968-145RESOLUTION NO. 68R 145 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM ACCEPTING AN EASEMENT DEED CONVEYING TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY FOR AN EASEMENT FOR ROAD AND PUBLIC UTILITY PURPOSES. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim is desirous of purchasing the hereinafter described real property for municipal purposes, to wit: An easement for road and public utility purposes and WHEREAS, the owner of said property ha s offered to sell and convey the same to the City; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim finds that it is for the benefit and best interest of the City of Anaheim to accept said offer and purchase said real property. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that the offer of FOREST LAWN CEMETERY ASSOCIATION, a corporation, to sell to the City of Anaheim the following described real property situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, to be used for an easement for road and public utility purposes and more particularly described as follows: An easement for road and public utility purposes over, under and across that portion of the Northwest quarter of the Southwest quarter of Section 12, Township 4 South, Range 10 West, in the Rancho San Juan Canjon de Santa Ana, as shown on a map recorded in Book 51, Page 10 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California, described as follows: Commencing at the intersection of the West line of said Section 12, with the center line of Anaheim -Olive Road (now known as Lincoln Avenue) as described in the deed to the County of Orange recorded in Book 275, Page 85 of Deeds, records of said Orange County, California; thence South 78° 52' 26" East 257.16 feet, more or less, along the center line of said Lincoln Avenue to an intersection with a line parallel with and distant 252.50 feet, as measured at right angles from the West line of said Section 12, said point of intersection being the true point of beginning; thence South 78° 52' 26" East 1088.65 feet, more or less, along the center line of said Lincoln Avenue to an intersection with the East line of the Northwest quarter of the Southwest quarter of said Section 12; thence South 0° 10' 46" East along said East line to its intersection with a line parallel with and distant 53 feet southwesterly, measured at right angles from said center line of Lincoln Avenue; thence North 78° 52' 26" West along said parallel line to its intersection with a line parallel with and distant 252.50 feet easterly, as measured at right angles from the West line of said Section 12; thence North 0° 11' 45" East along said last mentioned parallel line to the true point of beginning. -1- be, and the same is hereby, accepted by the City Council of the City of Anaheim, and that the City of Anaheim accept a convey- ance of said property. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Auditor of the City of Anaheim be, and he is hereby, authorized to pay to the owner or owners of said real property, out of General Funds of the City of Anaheim, the sum of One Dollar ($1.00).
