RESOLUTION NO. 68R- 114
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING CERTAIN PERSONS
TO ACT FOR THE CITY OF ANAHEIM IN CONNECTION
WITH SMALL CLAIMS ACTIONS; AND SUPERSEDING
RESOLUTION NO. 64R -173.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does
find and determine that it is necessary in the normal course of
business in the City of Anaheim to instigate, prosecute, and
consummate litigation involving small amounts, the jurisdiction
of which is vested in the Small Claims Court, being amounts of
less than $300.00; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed by the City Council of the City
of Anaheim that certain personnel in the Finance Department
should be authorized to act in the City's behalf in connection
with Small Claims actions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the following named persons, to wit:
LEE PEACON
JAMES E. WILLIS
MAYBELLE E. SPENCER
DONALD R. METZGER
CAROL R. ENNIS
be, and the same are hereby, authorized to commence, prosecute,
and consummate Small Claims litigation for, in behalf of, and
in the name of the City of Anaheim, and that they, and each of
them, are authorized to file Small Claims petitions, to appear
at Small Claims hearings, to represent the City, and to file
satisfaction of judgment in Small Claims actions, and to do any
and all other things necessary and convenient in the processing
of Small Claims actions.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolution No. 64R -173 be,
and it is hereby superseded by the foregoing resolution.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 20th day of February 1968.
