A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION
OF AN AGREEMENT EMPLOYING R. W. BECK AND
ASSOCIATES, A PARTNERSHIP, TO CONDUCT AN
INVESTIGATION AND FURNISH CONSULTING
SERVICES TO THE CITY FOR OBTAINING A
RELIABLE LOW -COST POWER SUPPLY.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires to employ a
consulting engineer to make the necessary investigation and
furnish the consulting services for obtaining a firm, low -cost
power supply for the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, R. W. Beck and Associates, a partnership, of
Seattle, Washington, is qualified to render such engineering
services and desires to be employed for such services; and
WHEREAS, said R. W. Beck and Associates has submitted
a proposal to conduct the necessary investigation and furnish
the consulting services to the City for obtaining a firm, low
cost power supply under letter signed by Herbert C. Westfall
under date of December 2, 1967; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that it
would be in the best interests of the City to hire R. W. Beck
and Associates to conduct such investigation and furnish such
consulting services upon the terms and conditions set forth in
said proposal, and for an estimated fee of $66,000.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that an agreement be made and entered into
by and between the City of Anaheim and R. W. Beck and Associates,
a partnership, providing for the employment of said R. W. Beck
and Associates by the City to conduct an investigation and
furnish the consulting services to the City for obtaining a
firm, low -cost power supply for the City of Anaheim, upon the
terms and conditions set forth in the letter proposal above
mentioned signed by Herbert C. Westfall under date of December 2,
1967, and for an estimated fee of $66,000.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
be, and they are hereby authorized to execute such agreement
for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 13th day of February, 1968.
