92-051 RESOLIfl~ON NO. 92R-5I A RESOLUI~ON OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF ~HE CITY OF ESTABLISHING PROVISIONS OF THE UNIFOl~M PATROL %5~ELVE PLAN WHEREAS, the Human Resources Director has recommended in a staff report dated March 10, 1992, that certain provisions be outlined related to the Uniform Patrol Twelve Plan for sworn Police Management employees; WHEREAS, the need exists to establish provisions related to the Unifc~m Patrol Twelve Plan for sworn Police Management e~ployees; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim finds that the adoption of such provisions related to Uniform Patrol Twelve Plan for sworn Police Management employees is in the best interest of the City of Anaheim. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the city of Anaheim as follows: Not withstanding the provisions of the Personnel Rules, sworn Police Management employees assigned by the Chief of Police to the Uniform Patrol Twelve Plan shall be subject to the foll~ing provisions: 1. The average work week of such employees sb~11 be defined as forty (40) hours for benefit plan and salary purposes. 2. Such employees shall receive additiom~l c~pensation equivalent to 1/10th of their r~3ular biweekly ccmpensation for each holiday listed in Personnel Rule 15, Holidays. 3. Such ~ployees are eligible for "immediate family" bereavement leave in accordance with Personnel Rule 19, Bereavement Leave, for up to a maximum of three work shifts, and shall be eligible for "other family members" bereavement leav~ in accordance with Personnel Rule 19, Bereavement Leave, for up to a maximum of one work shift. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chief of Police may, at his sole discretion, cancel the participation of sworn Police Management employees in the Uniform Patrol Twelve Plan at any time. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the effective date of this Resolution is March 27, 1992.
