1967-615RESOLUTION NO. 67R- 615 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM ACCEPTING A GRANT DEED FROM SANTA FE LAND IMPROVEMENT COMPANY, AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING PAYMENT THEREFOR. WHEREAS, in connection with the acquisition of real property upon which to erect the Yorba Substation on La Palma Avenue, a portion of said land was offered to the City by Santa Fe Land Improvement Company for the sum of $7,250.00; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the consideration for which said land is offered to the City is fair and reasonable and that it is in the best interests of the City to acquire such property at said price; and WHEREAS, said Santa Fe Land Improvement Company has delivered its deed to the following described property subject to the payment of said $7,250.00 (less $8.25 on account of revenue stamps): An irregular- shaped parcel of land in the County of Orange, State of California, being a portion of that portion of the Third Class Land alloted to Tomas Yorba in the Decree of Partition of the Rancho Canon de Santa Ana rendered in Case No. 1978 of the 17th Judicial District Court of California, a certified copy of which was recorded February 8, 1874, in Book 28, Page 158, of Deeds of Los Angeles County, as described in Parcel 1 of deed from A. B. Mujica and Louise Mujica to Santa Fe Land Improve- ment Company recorded April 30, 1965, in Book 7502, Page 749, of Official Records of said Orange County, described as follows: Commencing at the intersection of the center line of Taylor Street and the center line of Walnut Street as said intersection is shown on a Record of Survey Map filed in Book 77, Page 34, Records of said Orange County; thence North 89° 48' 10" East (bearings based on the center line of Walnut Street being North 89° 48' 10" East as shown on said Record of Survey Map 77 -34) along the easterly prolongation of said center line of Walnut Street 3567.87 feet to a point in the easterly boundary of said Parcel 1 (OR 7502 -749), last said easterly boundary being also the easterly boundary of Lot 4, as shown on the Partition Map of the lands of Marius Boisseranc, filed in Book 2, Page 39, of Record of Surveys, in the Office of the County Recorder of said Orange County; thence South 00° 27' 49" West along said easterly boundary of said Parcel 1 (OR 7502 -749) a distance of 53.00 feet to a point in a line parallel with and distant southerly 53.00 feet, measured at right angles from said easterly prolongation of said center line of Walnut Street, and the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING for this description; thence continuing along last said easterly boundary of said Parcel 1 (OR 7502 -749) a distance of 76.12 feet to the southeasterly -1- NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that it accept and it does hereby accept the Grand Deed of Santa Fe Land Improvement Company covering the real property described herein. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Finance Director be and he is hereby authorized and directed to deliver to'the office of the City Attorney a draft in favor of Santa Fe Land Improvement Company in the amount of $7,241.75 and to purchase for affixation to the deed to which reference is herein made, revenue stamps in the amount of $8.25. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and she is hereby authorized and directed to affix revenue stamps in the amount of $8.25 to said deed and to cause the same to be recorded. THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me this 31st day of October, 1967. ATTEST: corner of said Lot 4, being also the northeasterly corner of Lot 5 as shown on said Partition Map, said southeasterly corner also being the southeasterly corner of said Parcel 1; thence North 83° 59' 19" West along the southerly line of said Lot 4, being also the northerly line of said Lot 5 as shown on said Partition Map, 334.78 feet to the northeast corner of that certain 3.912 -acre parcel of land as described in deed to Emile Boisseranc, Jr., et al., recorded January 14, 1963 in Book 6393, Page 455, Official Records of said County; thence North 00° 10' 41" East along the northerly prolongation of the easterly boundary of said 3.912 -acre parcel 39.91 feet to a point in said parallel line; thence North 89° 48' 10" East along said parallel line 333.43 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING.
