92-030 RESOLUTION NO. 92R-30
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DIRECTING THE
FILING AND POSTING OF PREVAILING
RATES OF PER DIEM WAGES PERTAINING
TO PUBLIC WORKS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim may
award contracts for the construction of "public works" as defined
in Section 1720 of the Labor Code; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim, a city formed and
operating under a freeholders' charter, has elected to require
contractors and subcontractors on public works projects, other
than projects for maintenance and repair, to pay workers not less
than the prevailing rates of wages as determined by the Director
of the California Department of Industrial Relations; and
WHEREAS, Section 1770 of the Labor Code requires the
Director of the California Department of Industrial Relations to
determine the prevailing rate of per diem wages; and
WHEREAS, the Director has determined the prevailing
rate of per diem wages.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Anaheim does hereby direct the City Clerk to cause to
be filed in the office of the City Clerk the schedule of
prevailing rates of per diem wages as determined by the Director
of Industrial Relations marked Exhibit "A" attached hereto.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Engineer of the
City of Anaheim be, and he is hereby, directed to post, or cause
to be posted, a copy of this resolution, including Exhibit "A" at
each job site.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 25th day of February,
1992.

In addition to the herein stated hourly wages, fringe benefit provisions,
including but not limited to health and welfare, foreman premium,
vacation, pension, and apprentice and training allowances, shall be paid
as determined by the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations.
Apprentices shall be employed in conformity with Section 1777.5 of the
California Labor Code.
Per diem wages, holidays, and overtime pay for the various classifications
of work shall be in accordance with the determination of the Director of
the Department of Industrial Relations.
It shall be mandatory upon the Contractor to whom the contract is awarded
and upon any Subcontractor under him to pay not less than the said
specified rates of wages to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics employed
by him in the execution of the contract.
