A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING RESOLUTION N0. 84R-242
WHICH ESTABLISHED RATES OF COMPENSATION AND
MANAGEMENT PAY POLICIES FOR CLASSIFICATIONS DESIGNATED
AS MIDDLE MANAGEMENT/SUPERVISORY.
WHEREAS, the Human Resources Director has recommended in a staff
report dated January 15, 1985 that an assignment pay differential be created
for the Fire Battalion Chief assigned as the Operations Division Chief in the
Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, as a result thereof, the need exists to amend Resolution
No. 84R-242 which established rates of compensation and management pay
policies for classifications designated as middle management/supervisory; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that the
creation of this assignment pay differential is in the best interests of the
City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim that Resolution No. 84R-242 is hereby amended by adding Section 5.12
to read as follows:
5.12 Assignment Pay
That effective January 25, 1985 an employee assigned to ,the Fire
Battalion Chief/Operations Division Chief position shall receive assignment
pay equal to ten percen'c of the Fire Battalion Chief salary range midpoint for
each hour worked in the position during normal work hours.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that except to the extent amended,
Resolution No. 84R-242 shall. remain in full force and effect.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City
Council of the City of Anaheim this 22nd day of January ,1985.
