A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM DECLARING CERTAIN MUNICIPAL
PROPERTY IS NO LONGER NEEDED FOR PUBLIC USE
AND AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF SAME
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim is the owner of two obsolete
fire pumpers ("the pumpers") which the Anaheim Fire Department has
determined to be no longer needed for public use; and
WHEREAS, the market value of the pumpers has been
determined to be approximately $1,000 each; and
WHEREAS, the cities of Mexicali, Mexico and La Paz,
Mexico, are in need of such pumpers in order to assist in meeting
said cities' fire suppression needs; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that transferring the
pumpers to said cities will promote good will and be beneficial
toward fostering positive international relations; and
WHEREAS, the City Council further finds that it would be
in the best interests of the City of Anaheim to transfer the
pumpers without cost in order to assist said cities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Anaheim hereby approves the transfer of the herein-
above described fire pumpers, without cost, t~ the cities of
Mexicali and La Paz, Mexico.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted this 14th
day of May 1985.
