A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF ANAHEIM'S
PARTICIPATION IN THE CALIFORNIA STATE PLAN
FOR THE COMMERCIAL AND APARTMENT CONSERVATION
SERVICE
WHEREAS, pursuant to Title VII of the National Energy
Conservation Policy Act, Pub. L. 95-619, as enacted in Subtitle D
of Title V of the Energy Security Act, Pub. L. 96-294, 94 Stat.
752-758, electric utilities with annual sales in excess of 750
million kilowatt hours are required to offer energy audit services
to certain apartment and commercial buildings; and
WHEREAS, non-regulated utilities are required either to
submit an implementation plan to the Department of Energy for
approval or to participate in the State plan; and
WHEREAS, the California State Plan was approved by the
Department of Energy on March 1, 1985; and
WHEREAS, The California State Plan is acceptable to the
Public Utilities Department of the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that:
1. The City of Anaheim is hereby authorized to
participate in the California State Plan for the
Commercial and Apartment Conservation Service.
2. The Utilities General Manager of the City of
Anaheim is hereby authorized to submit evidence of this
resolution to the California Energy Commission.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted this 28th
day of May 1985.
