A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 85R-234 BY
CHANGING THE DATE FOR OPENING BIDS FOR THE
~-- CONSTRUCTION AND COMPLETION OF IMPROVEMENTS AT
FIRE STATION NO. 2 IN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, on the 18th day of June, 1985, the City Council
of the City of Anaheim did adopt Resolution No. R85-234 finding
and determining that public convenience and necessity required the
following described public improvement:
Fire Station No. 2, located at 2141 West Crescent
Avenue, Anaheim, consisting of, but not limited to, the
removal and proper disposal of undesirable material and
vegetation, backfill and compaction; excavation for
underground piping, conduit, etc.; concrete footings and
slab on grade; construction of a single story wood
structure with stucco exterior finish, built-up roof
with skylites, higher ceiling in the apparatus room;
landscaping, planting, irrigation systems and
construction of concrete block wall; curb, gutter,
driveway, access ramps and paving improvements;
electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC and finish
carpentry. All work shall be accomplished in accordance
with the plans and specifications on file in the office
of the City Engineer, Account No. 01-935-6325; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did authorize and direct the
City Clerk to publish a notice according to law inviting sealed
proposals for the above-mentioned public improvement, and fixing
the 11th day of July, 1985, at the hour of 2:00 p.m. as the date
and hour for the opening of said bids in the Council Chamber in
the Anaheim Civic Center; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that, due to the
complexity of the above named project, sufficient time has not
been allowed for bidding purposes; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has recommended that it would
be in the best interest of the City of Anaheim to change the bid
opening date to the 25th day of July, 1985.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that the bid opening date for the construction and
completion of the Fire Station No. 2 improvements be, and it is
hereby, changed to the 25th day of July, 1985.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 25th day of June, 1985.
