A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM APPROVING A LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN
THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES ASSOClATION~ GENERAL
UNIT, AND THE CITY OF ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, on February 26, 1991 the City Council adopted Resolution No. 91R-49
approving a Memorandum of Understanding between the Anaheim Municipal Employees
Association, General Employees and the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the Labor Relations Director met and conferred with officials and
employee representatives of the Anaheim Municipal Employees Association, General
Employees, to discuss specific concerns relative to amending Article 44 of said
Memorandum of Understanding; and
WHEREAS, a Letter of Understanding dated December 23, 1991, between the parties
has been prepared and signed amending Article 44 of the current Memorandum of
Understanding, said amendment to be effective January 3, 1992; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that It Is In the
best Interests of the City of Anaheim to approve said Latter of Understanding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that
the Letter of Understanding dated December 23, 1992, between the Anaheim Municipal
Employees Association, General Employees, and the City of Anaheim copies of which are
attached hereto and Incorporated by reference herein, are approved and said Memorandum of
Understanding Is hereby amended In accordance with the terms of said Letter of
Understanding.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION Is approved and adopted by the City Council of the City

between the
ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION,
General Unit
and the
CITY OF ANAHEIM
The Anaheim Municipal Employees Association, General Unit and the City of
Anaheim, after meeting and conferring, have reached an understanding to amend
Article 44, Shift Differential, effective January 3, 1992 as follows:
ARTICLE 44
SHIFT DIFFERENTIALS
44.1 All eight hour periods, regularly scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m., or
thereafter, but before 3:00 a.m., shall be designated as night shift,
provided however that ANAHEIM employees in classifications set forth in
Appendix "A" who work the 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. shift at the Anaheim
Police Department or who work the 1:30 p.m, to 10:00 o.m. shift at Anaheim
Convention Center Facility Services will also be designated as being on
the night shift.
44.1.2 A premium of 5.0% of the employes's regular hourly rate of pay
shall be paid for each hour worked In his regular rate of pay
between 3:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. This premium will not be paid to
employees at Anaheim Convention Center Fscllltv Services whose
regular shlft begins at 5:30 a.m.
