A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY CO~CIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINlNG THAT PUBLIC CON-. .
VENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUI$E THE CONSTRUCTION
AND COMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT, TO WIT:
IMPROVEMENT OF UTILITY YARD PHASE II AT 901
T VERMONT AVENUE IN THE In OF ANAHEIM
ORDER NO. 1894,

APPROVING THE DESIGNS, PLANS! PROFILES, DRAWINGS
AND SPECIF~CATIONS FOR THE C~NSTRUCTION.THEREOF;
AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID PUBLIC IM-
PROVEMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH.SAID PLANS, SPECI-
FICATIONS, ETC.; AND AUTHORI~ING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE INVITING
SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, public convenience lndnecessity require the
construction and completion of a public improvement in the City
of Anaheim, to wit:
Improvement of Utility Yard (Phase II) at 901
East Vermont Avenue, in the ~ity of Anaheim, con-
sisting of relocation of an ~xisting prefabri-
cated, rigid xrame steel building; construction
of asphalt paving for parkin~ lot and open stor-
age area, concrete slabs, cu~bs and gutters, ad-
dition to existing loading d~ck, chain link and
wrought iron fencing, and concrete block wall
fencing; installation of oil and gas service fa-
cilities, and related electrical and plumbing
work, and appurtenant work a$ more particular-
ly set forth in the plans and specifications on
file in the Office of the City Clerk and City
Engineer, Work Order No. 1894.
AND WHEREAS, the City Counci1 instructed
Rose & Fears. Architects t~ prepare deta11ed C..1gns,
plans, profiles, drawinqs and specif1c.tion., and estimate. of
quantities and costs and make nece88arr surveys for the con-
struction of said public improvement; and

WHEREAS, said Rose & Fea~s, Archi~ects, has
prepared said detailed desic;ns, plans,. profiles, drawings and
specifications for the construction of said public improvement
and has submitted the same to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the detailed
desic;ns, plans, profiles, drawinc;s and specifications for said
public improvement above mentioned, are in accordance with c;ood
enC;ineerinc; practice and are adequate to serve the needs and
requirements of the City of Anaheim and the citizens and

residents in said area for the purposes for which they are
intended, and that they are adequate fo~ the construction of
said public improvement and should be approved.
,.- NOW i THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the detailed d~signs, plans, profiles,
drawings and specifications for said pu~lic improvement herein-
above mentioned and described, be, and the same are hereby,
approved and adopted as prepared by said Rose & Fears.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said public improvement
shall be constructed in accordance with said detailed designs,
plans, profiles, drawings and specifications as prepared by said

approve ,an such addiiida or modificatl:lons thereto as may be
approved prior to the awarding of bids therefor.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that th~ City Clerk of the City
of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, autho~ized and directed to
publish a notice according to law, invi~ing sealed proposals for
the furnishing of all plant, labor, ser~ices, materials and
equipment, and all utilities and transp~rtation, including power,
fuel and water, and performing all work necessary to construct
and complete, in a good and workmanlike manner, in strict accordance
with said detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings and speci-
fications as prepared by said Ros~ & Fe~itects
, the public impro~ement-bere1naoove men-
tioned and described, and fixing the 14th day of se~tember
19 67 ,at the hour of 2:00 oOclock P.K. as the date an bour
for the opening of said bids at the City Council Chamber in the
City Hall in the City of Anaheim, and that said notice shall be
published twice, the first of which publications shall be at
least ten (10) days prior to the date fixed for the openi~ of
bids, and that said publications shall be at least five (5) days
apart.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the successful bidder
or bidders shall be required to enter into a contract with the
City of Anaheim in the manner and form approved by the City
Attorney of the City of Anaheim for the construction, installa-
tion and completion of said public improvement hereinabove
mentioned and described, in accordance with the plans and speci-
fications prepared by said Rose & F~ars, Architects
, the notice invit' ng sealed proposals,
this resolution and all applicable City Ordinances or Code
Sections and the laws of the State of California, and shall be
required to post bonds and insurance in the amounts and within
the time required by law, as specified in the notice inviting
sealed proposals, and in a form approved by the City Attorney.
