RESOLUTION NO. 67R-46l

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM REJECTING ALL BIDS RECEIVED UP TO
THE HOUR OF 2:00 P.M. ON AUGUST 3, 1967, FOR
PUBLIC WORKS, WORK ORDER NO. 1057, WORK ORDER
NO. 1051 AND WORK ORDER NO. 1056.
WHEREAS, heretofore, to wit, on the 27th day of June,
1967, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did adopt Resolu-
tion No. 67R-347 finding and determining that public convenience
and necessity required the construction and completion of a
public improvement consisting of the construction of three park
buildings, block construction, at ponderosa Park, Building No.
1 - park control facility building, Work Order No. 1057, and
Building No.2 - park maintenance building, Work Order No. 1051,
and at Modjeska Park, Building No. 3 - park maintenance building,
Work Order No. 1056; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did authorize and direct the
City Clerk to publish a notice according to law inviting sealed
proposals for the furnishing of all plant, labor, services,
materials and equipment, and all utilities and transportation,
including power, fuel and water and performing all work necessary
to construct and complete said public improvement, and fixing the
20th day of July, 1967 at the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M. as the
date and hour for the opening of said bids in the Council Chamber
in the City Hall, in the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, prior to the date fixed for the opening of
said bids, the City Council did cause City of Anaheim Addendum
No. 1 to be published notifying all prospective bidders that the
time for receiving sealed proposals for said public improvement
had been extended to 2:00 P.M. on August 3, 1967, and that sealed
proposals would be opened in public on that date in the Council
Chambers in the City Hall by the City Clerk and the City Engineer;
and
WHEREAS, upon said 3rd day of August, 1967, at the hour
of 2:00 o'clock P.M., the City Clerk and the City Engineer did
open all bids received up to that hour, in public, in the City
Hall, in the City of Anaheim, and the City Engineer did tabu-
late all bids so received and did report the result thereof to the
City Council at its next regular meeting held on the 8th day of
August, 1967; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that all bids received
are in excess of the estimate of the City Engineer of the cost
of said public improvement, and that said bids should be rejected.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that all bids received up to the hour of 2:00
o'clock P.M. on August 3, 1967, tabulated by the City Engineer,
and submitted to the Council on August 8, 1967, for the construc-
tion of three park buildings, complete in place, at Ponderosa
Park, Building No. 1 - park control facility building, Work Order
No. 1057, and Building No.2 - park maintenance building, Work
Order No. 1051, and at Modjeska Park, Building No. 3 - park
maintenance building, Work Order No. 1056, be and the same are
hereby rejected.
