A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ACCEPTING AN EASEMENT DEED CONVEY-
ING TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM CERTAIN REAL PROP-
ERTY FOR AN EASEMENT FOR ROAD AND PUBLIC
UTILITY PURPOSES. (R/W #3500-54)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim is
desirous of purchasing the hereinafter described real property
for municipal purposes, to wit: An easement for road and public
utility purposes; and
WHEREAS, the owners of said property have offered to
sell and convey the same to the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim finds
that it is for the benefit and best interest of the City of
Anaheim to accept said offer and purchase said real property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the offer of MELVILLE G. KANNARD AND
DOROTHY KANNARD to sell to the City of Anaheim the following
described real property situated in the City of Anaheim, County
of Orange, State of California, to be used for an easement for
road and public utility purposes, and more particularly described
as follows:
An easement for road and public utility purposes
over, under and across that portion of Lots 1 and 2,
Block A of Tract No. 158, per map thereof recorded in
Book 12, page 6, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of
Orange County, California described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the Southeast corner of the
Westerly 5.25 feet of said Lot 2; said corner lying
on the Easterly line of Anaheim Boulevard (80.00 feet
wide); thence North 15 degrees 30' 20" West along
said Easterly line of Anaheim Boulevard a distance of
89.03 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve
Easterly having a radius of 15.00 feet; thence
Northeasterly thru a central angle of 89 degrees 56'
50" an arc distance of 23.55 feet to a tangent line;
thence North 74 degrees 26' 30" East along said
tangent line and the South line of North Street a
.~..~ distance of 7.00 feet to a point of cusp with a
tangent curve concave Easterly having a radius of
15.00 feet; thence Southwesterly along said curve
thru a central angle of 89 degrees 56' 50" an arc
distance of 23.55 feet to a point on a line parallel
and 47.00 feet Easterly of the centerline of said
Anaheim Boulevard; thence South 15 degrees 30' 20"
East along said parallel line a distance of 89.03
feet to a point on the South line of said Lot 2;
thence along said South line South 74 degrees 29' 40"
West a distance of 7.00 feet to the Point of
Beginning,
be, and the same is hereby, accepted by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim, and that the City of Anaheim accept a conveyance
of said property; provided, however, that nothing herein shall be
- construed to be an acceptance of any parcel or property into the
City street system (Section 1806, Streets and Highways Code).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Accounting Officer of
the City of Anaheim be, and he is hereby, authorized to issue a
warrant and pay to the owners of said real property, out of
General Funds of the City of Anaheim and charged to Account No.
12-792-7107-E2747 the sum of Ten Thousand Two Hundred Dollars
($10,200.00).
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 17th day of September, 1985.
