A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM REQUESTING THE ORANGE COUNTY
TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION TO ALLOCATE FUNDS
FOR CERTAIN HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS FROM
ORANGE COUNTY UNIFIED TRANSIT TRUST.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires to improve the
following streets:
Lincoln Avenue - East City limit to Rio Vista
Street, Western Avenue to Knott
Avenue and Empire Street to Beach
Boulevard,
Euclid Avenue - Broadway to Ball Road, and
Ball Road - Gilbert Street to 4aest City limit
WHEREAS, the aforementioned streets are important
arteries in the County of Orange and of general County interest;
and
WHEREAS, Senate Bill 429, approved by the Legislature and
signed by the Governor on October 5, 1985, authorizes the Orange
County Transportation Commission (Commission) to allocate certain
funds in the Orange County Unified Transit Trust (O.C.U.T.T.) for
local streets and roads; and
WHEREAS, the Commission intends to, by appropriate
action, provide for the fiscal years 1986-87 through 1988-89 sums
of money for the improvement of streets within the incorporated
cities of the County in accordance with Senate Bill 429.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that the City of Anaheim hereby requests the
Orange County Transportation Commission to allocate to the City of
Anaheim, from the Orange County Unified Transit Trust, the amounts
set forth below to be used to aid said City in the improvement of
the streets set forth herein and the specific amounts in
connection with each project are as set forth below:
1986-87
~ 290,000 Euclid Street - Broadway to Ball Road
~ 200,000 Lincoln Avenue - East City Limit to Rio Vista
Street
$ 125,000 Lincoln Avenue - Western Avenue to Knott Avenue
1987-88
$ 625,000 Ball Road - Gilbert Street to West City Limit
1988-89
$ 600,000 Lincoln Avenue - Empire Street to Beach
Boulevard
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and
she is hereby, authorized and directed to forward a certified copy
of this resolution to the Orange County Transportation Commission
at 1055 North Main Street, Suite 516, Santa Ana, California.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 17th day of December, 1985.
