92-071 RESOLUTION NO. 92R-71
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING
AGREEMENT NO. 12-122 WITH THE STATE
OF CALIFORNIA (CALTRANS)
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim recognizes that
considerable traffic congestion exists along the Katella Avenue
corridor (The Corridor) between Interstate 605 and State Route
57, and Anaheim and the State have jurisdiction over portions of
the Corridor; and
WHEREAS, an interconnected and coordinated traffic
signal system would be mutually beneficial to the city of Anaheim
and the State of California, and would improve traffic safety and
flow; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim is willing to cooperate
with State in the coordination of traffic signals and is willing
to participate in the construction and engineering cost of
traffic signal coordination; and
WHEREAS, funds have been established and ~re available
through the Orange County Unified Transportation Trust Fund for
grants to agencies for efficient traffic signal system
coordination projects.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the Local Agency-State Agreement No. 12-
122 be, and the same is hereby, approved.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 21st day of April, 1992.
