RESOLUTION NO. 82R- 12
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF COOPERATION AGREE-
MENT NO. 12 FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A TRAFFIC SIGNAL WITH
THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY.

WHEREAS, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency is charged with
implementing the Redevelopment Plan for Redevelopment Project Alpha;
and
WHEREAS, Section 33445 of the Health and Safety Code author-
izes the Agency to pay all or part of the value of the land for and
the cost of the installation and construction of any building, facility,
structure, or other improvement which is publicly owned; and
WHEREAS, Section 3345 of the Health and Safety Code further
permits the Agency to enter into a contract to reimburse the community
over a period of years where the cost has beenor will be paid initially
by the community; and
WHEREAS, an agreement entitled "Cooperation Agreement No. 12
for the Installation of Traffic Signal" (Cooperation Agreement No. 12)
has been prepared whereby the City of Anaheim will install certain
publicly-owned facilities initially at the City's expense and the
Agency agrees to reimburse the City therefor; and
WHEREAS, the facilities to be installed by the City pursuant
to Cooperation Agreement No. 12 are hereby determined to be of benefit
to the Project Area of Redevelopment Project Alpha and the immediate
neighborhood in which the Project Area is located; and
WHEREAS, it is hereby determined that no other reasonable
means of financing the traffic signal is available to the City of
Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the installation of these facilities are deemed to
be of urgent necessity for the preservation of life, health and property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the 'City Council of the City
of Anaheim that the terms and conditions of Cooperation Agreement No. 12
be, and they are hereby, accepted and approved.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the contract for installation of
these facilities may be let without advertising for bids pursuant to
Section 1211 of the Charter of the City of Anaheim.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk be, and
they are hereby, authorized and directed to execute a Cooperation
Agreement NO. 12 on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is afproved and adopted by the City
Council of the City of Anaheim this 2th day of January , 1982.
