A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM VACATING A PUBLIC lnILITY EASEMENT
LOCATED GENERALLY AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF
SANTA ANA CANYON ROAD AND FAIRMONT BOULEVARD.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did,
by resolution duly adopted, declare its intention to vacate cer-
tain pUblic streets, highways or public service easements pursuant
to the Public Streets, Highways and Service Easements Vacation Law~
and
WHEREAS, notice of a public hearing to consider said
vacation was posted and published in the manner prescribed by law;
and
WHEREAS, on the 12th day of January, 1982, a public hear-
ing was held to allow interested persons to submit evidence concern-
ing said proposed vacation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find, from the evidence
submitted, that the street, highway or public service easement
hereinafter specifically described is unnecessary for present or
prospective pUblic purposes including nonmotorized transportation
facilities.
WHEREAS, if and to the extent that there are in place
public utility facilities in use for which easements are not re-
served and excepted by this resolution, the City Council hereby
determines that the public convenience and necessity requires that
no easements be reserved for such facilities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Anaheim does hereby order the vacation of that certain
easement for electrical utility purposes, more specifically de-
scribed as follows:

That easement for electrical utility purposes in, on
and over a two-foot wide strip of land in the City of
Anaheim, as conveyed by deed to the Southern California
Edison Company, recorded August 10, 1949 in Book 1888,
pages 47 and 48 of Official Records in the office of the
County Recorder of Orange County, over that certain por-
tion of land in Section 1, Township 4 South, Range 9
West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian in said City of
Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, as con-
veyed by deed to James E. Serven and Elizabeth L. Serven,
recorded September 13, 1948 in Book 1700, page 10 of
Official Records of said Orange County. The centerline
of said two foot strip is more particularly described as
follows:

Beginning at a point in the southeasterly side of
Santa Ana Canyon Road as now established, 110 feet wide,
along the northwesterly side of said property of James E.
Serven et ux, which point is 34 feet northeasterly mea-
sured at right angles from the southwesterly line of said
property~ thence southeasterly parallel to said southwest-
erly line and the southeasterly prolongation thereof, a
distance of 810 feet.

Excepting therefrom any portion of said easement located
within the Fairmont Boulevard street right-of-way.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the vacation authorized by
this resolution shall not be effective until a certified copy of
this resolution is recorded in the Office of the Recorder of
Orange County.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she
is hereby, authorized and directed to cause a certified copy of
this resolution to be recorded in the Office of the Recorder of
the County of Orange.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 12th day of January, 1982.
