RESOLUTION NO. 82R-16
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM VACATING A PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENT
LOCATED BETWEEN WEST STREET AND THE SANTA ANA
FREEWAY NORTH OF VERMONT AVENUE.

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did,
by resolution duly adopted, declare its intention to vacate cer-
tain public streets, highways or public service easements pursuant
to the Public Streets, Highways and Service Easements Vacation Law;
and
WHEREAS, notice of a public hearing to consider said
vacation was posted and published in the manner prescribed by law;
and
WHEREAS, on the 12th day of January, 1982, a public hear-
ing was held to allow interested persons to submit evidence concern-
ing said proposed vacation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find, from the evidence
submitted, that the street, highway or public service easement
hereinafter specifically described is unnecessary for present or
prospective public purposes including nonmotorized transportation
facilities.
WHEREAS, if and to the extent that there are in place
public utility facilities in use for which easements are not re-
served and excepted by this resolution, the City Council hereby
determines that the public convenience and necessity requires that
no easements be reserved for such facilities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Anaheim does hereby order the vacation of those public
utility easements, more specifically described as follows:
That certain public utility easement located in the
City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California,
being that portion of the easement described in a deed
to the City of Anaheim, recorded August 8, 1977 in Book
12326, pages 1650 and 1651 of Official Records, in the
Office of the County Recorder of said County, said strips
being five feet wide, six feet wide, and ten feet wide,
the centerline of said strips being described as follows:

Beginning at a point on a line parallel with the center-
line of Vermont Avenue as abandoned per deed recorded in
Book 8998, page 406, Official Records of said County,
distant 26.00 feet northerly of said centerline, westerly
69.53 feet with the intersection with the southwesterly
line of the Santa Ana Freeway; thence N 490 10' 1911 E,
57.84 feet; thence N 400 49' 4111 W, 174.84 feet; thence
N 710 40' 4611 W, 91.00 feet; thence N 150 42' 00" W,
58.50 feet; thence S 740 55' 3411 W, 91.50 feet; thence
S 780 23' 0811 W, 35.09 feet; thence S 830 31' 2811 W,
115.41 feet to the point of ending.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the vacation authorized by
this resolution shall not be effective until a certified copy of
this resolution is recorded in the Office of the Recorder of
Orange County.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she
is hereby, authorized and directed to cause a certified copy of
this resolution to be recorded in the Office of the Recorder of
the County of Orange.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 12th day January, 1982.
