RESOLUTION 82R -40
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING TWO APPLICATIONS
TO THE FEDERAL HIGHWAY ADMIN~STRATION (FHWA)
REQUESTING GRANT FUNDS FOR SAFETY ORIENTED
PROJECTS ON BALL ROAD FROM ~AHEIM BOULE-
VARD TO AND INCLUDING HARBOR 'BOULEVARD; AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER ,OR HIS DESIG-
NATED REPRESENTATIVE TO EXECUTE AND FILE
SAID APPLICATION.
WHEREAS, the Congress of the United States has
declared it to be in the national interest for Federal funds
to be expended for highway projects; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim and the State of
California Department of Transportation may make use of Federal
funds within the jurisdictional boundaries of the City of
Anaheim when available; and
WHEREAS, the State of California Department of
Transportation is accepting applications for the funding of
Hazard Elimination Safety Projects for FY 81/82; and
WHEREAS, there exists a need for safety improvements
on the streets within the jurisdictional boundaries of the City
of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that two applications to the Federal Highway
Administration (FHWA) requesting grant funds for safety oriented
projects on Ball Road from Anaheim Boulevard to and including
Harbor Boulevard be, and the same are hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager, or his
designated representative be, and is hereby authorized to
execute and file said application and all necessary documents
in connection therewith.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by
the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 26th day of January
1982.
