A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT
CERTAIN WORK IS OF URGENT NECESSITY AND
APPROVING AN AWARD OF CONT~CT TO STEINY AND
COMPANY, INC. WITHOUT ADVER~ISING FOR BIDS
(ANAHEIM BOULEVARD AND OLD LINCOLN AVENUE
TRAFFIC SIGNAL INSTALLATION, ACCOUNT NO.
46-794-6325-E4230.)
WHEREAS, Anaheim City Chartejr Section l2ll provides
that contracts on public works may be let without advertising
for bids if such work shall be deemed ~y the City Council to be
of urgent necessity for the preservatibn of life, health or
property; and
WHEREAS, the City Council hajs been advised by the City
Engineer that said traffic signal installation has created an
emergency calling for immediate correc~ive action; and
WHEREAS, the City Council fipds and determines that
such corrective work for the installation and operation within ten
working days upon authorization to propeed is of urgent necessity
for the preservation of health and property; and
WHEREAS, informal bids have been requested and the bids
submitted have been analyzed by the City Engineer; and
WHEREAS, Steiny and Company, Inc. has submitted the
lowest bid for such work; and
WHEREAS, an agreement has been prepared, the terms and
conditions of which are acceptable to the City Council of the
City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim as follows:
1. That immediate corrective work consisting of Anaheim
Boulevard and Old Lincoln Avenue Traffic Signal Installation in
the City of Anaheim is of urgent necessity for the preservation
of health and property; and
2. A contract for such work is hereby awarded to Steiny
and Company, Inc.

3. The terms and conditions of ~n Agreement between the
City of Anaheim and Steiny and Company, Inc. are hereby approved
and accepted.
4. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to
execute said Agreement on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
