RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM ESTABLISHING A PROCEDURE AND AUTHORI-
ZATION FOR ISSUANCE OF BONDS OR BOND COUPONS
TO REPLACE LOST, STOLEN, DESTR~YED OR MUTILATED
BONDS OR BOND COUPONS ISSUED PWRSUANT TO
RESOLUTION NO. 76R-l49.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the autho~ity granted to the City
Council of the City of Anaheim by the Charter of the City
of Anaheim, the City has sold Bonds fGr the financing of various
projects pursuant to Resolution No. 76R-l49; and
WHEREAS, from time to time the legal owners of said
Bonds have applied to the City Treasu~er for issuance of a
replacement for lost Bonds or Bond Coupons; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 21 of Resolution No. 76R-
l49 the City is authorized to provide by resolution for the
replacement of such Bonds or Bond Coupons; and
WHEREAS, it is the policy of the City to require the
owner of a lost security instrument which has been issued
by the City to provide to the City Treasurer a lost securities
bond, executed in duplicate, indemnifying the City and its
Treasurer for twice the face amount of the claimed loss, a
notarized affidavit of loss signed by the lost security instrument
owner and an affidavit by the bonding company stating that
they are incorporated to do business in the State of California;
and
WHEREAS, in order to simplify the procedures for issuance
of replacement Bonds or Bond Coupons to the respective owners
thereof who have complied with the City's policies, the City
Council has determined it to be advisable to permit the issuance
of said replacement Bonds or Bond Coupons upon the determination
of its Treasurer and City Attorney or other authorized legal
counsel that the owner of a lost security instrument has met
the foregoing requirements for issuance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim:

Section 1: That the determination of the proof of
loss, destruction or mutilation of Bonds or Bond Coupons issued
pursuant to Resolution No. 76R-l49 and ownership thereof shall
be made by the City's Treasurer and City Attorney or other
authorized legal counsel pursuant to an affidavit of the owner
stating such loss, destruction or mutilation together with

the determination that a sufficient indemnity Bond has been
posted to protect and save the City harmless from any and
all loss which may result from the payment of a lost Bond
or Bond Coupon.
Section 2: That upon the determination by the City's
Treasurer and City Attorney or other authorized legal counsel
as set forth in Section 1 hereinabove, that the Treasurer
is empowered to authorize the issuance of new Bonds or Bond
Coupons to replace said lost, stolen, destroyed, or mutilated
Bonds or Bond Coupons.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by
the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 2nd day of
February , 1982.
