RESOLUTION NO. 82R-I06
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIH AUTHORIZD~G THE DESTRUCTION OF
CITY RECORDS HORE TlIA1~ 1\070 YEARS OLD.

WHEREAS, Section 34090 of the Government Code of the
State of California authorizes the d~struction of certain records
of the City upon approval of the legilslative Qody of the City,
and with the written consent of the City Attorney, provided that
said records do not fall within certain specified categories; and
WHEPillAS, the following described documents in the
possession of the Anaheim Finance Department are more than two
years old and are documents which are authorized for destruction
under the provisions of said Section 34090 of the Government Code
without making a copy thereof; and
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Agent of the City of Anaheim
has determined that said documents do not have sufficient value
to justify retention; and
WHEP~AS, the City Council concurs in the determination
of the Purchasing Agent and finds the destruction of the records
in the best interests of the City of Anaheim; and
\~EREAS, the City Attorney of the City of Anaheim does
by the approval of this resolution hereby give his written
consent for the destruction of the listed records.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the Purchasing Agent of the City of
Anaheim be, and he is hereby, authorized to destroy immediately,
in a lawful manner, the following described documents under his
charge without making any copies thereof, to wit: all purchase
orders dated prior to December 31, 1976.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that upon destruction of the
foregoing records, a certificate of destructions shall be executed
and the original thereof filed in the office of the City Clerk to-
gether with a copy of this resolution.
THE FOP~GOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 23rd day of February, 1982.
