A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM ADOPTING A LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AND LOCAL 47, INTERNATIONAL
BROTHERHOOD OF ELECTRICAL WO$ERS, AFL-CIO AND
AMENDING RESOLUTION 81R-83 ESTABLISHING RATES OF
COMPENSATION FOR JOB CLASSES REPRESENTED BY
IBEW LOCAL 47.
WHEREAS, on February 24, 1981, the City Council approved
Resolution No. 81R-82 adopting a Memorandum of Understanding between
the City of Anaheim and the International Brotherhood of Electrical
Workers, Local Union No. 47 ("IBEW"); and
WHEREAS, on February 24, 1981, the City Council adopted
Resolution 81R-83 establishing rates of compensation for job classes
represented by IBEW Local 47; and
WHEREAS, the City Management Repres~ntative has consulted
with staff officials of IBEW to provide for upgrade to the classifi-
cation of Service Center Assistant; and
WHEREAS, as a result thereof, a Letter of Understanding
dated February 17, 1982, between the parties, which clarifies the intent
of both parties, has been prepared and signed; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim finds that
adoption of said Letter of Understanding is in the best interests of
the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED by the City C01.1Ucil of the
City of Anaheim that: (1) the Letter of Undevstanding dated February 17,
1982, between the City of Anaheim and IBEW is 'hereby approved and adopted;
and (2) Resolution 81R-83 is amended to provide upgrade for the classifi-
cation of Service Center Assistant by adding "U" to the Service Center
Assistant salary schedule effective October 9, 1981 through October 7,
1982.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved, and adopted by the City
Council of the City of Anaheim this 2nd day of March 1982.
