A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM DESIGNATING THE N~ OF THE LOCAL
HISTORY ROOM AT THE CENTRAL !LIBRARY AS THE
ELIZABETH J. SCHULTZ ANAHEIM HISTORY ROOM.
WHEREAS, Elizabeth J. Schultiz has for more than two
decades sought to improve the quality lof library service in
the City of Anaheim since her appointment to the Anaheim
Library Board in 1960; and
WHEREAS, during her tenure on the Anaheim Library
Board, she has dedicated her energies to providing library
service to the total community which, today, makes library
resources more widely and easily accessible to every citizen
of this City through a Central Library, four branch facilities,
and a bookmobile outreach program; and
WHEREAS, with a vital interest in Anaheim's unique
heritage, her leadership was of particular importance in the
formation and development of the Anaheim Public Library's
archival collection of local history materials.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Anaheim City
Council, in recognition of her many contributions to library
service in the community and of her continuing efforts to
perpetuate for future generations the historical record of this
community, does hereby designate the local history room at th~
Anaheim Public Library the
Elizabeth J. Schultz
ANAHEIM HISTORY ROOM
and commends her for her efforts in promoting the Anaheim
Public Library as one of the City's f<l>remost assets.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by
the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 9th day of March
1982.
