1982-176 RESOLUTION NO. 82R-176 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM REJECTING ALL BIDS RECEIVED UP TO THE HOUR OF 2:00 P.M. ON THE 18TH DAY OF MARCH, 1982, FOR A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT, TO WIT: ANAHEIM STADIUM TRAFFIC CONTROL IMPROVEMENTS, IN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, ACCOUNT NOS. 24-795- 6325-E5260 AND 49-795-6325-E5262. WHEREAS, on the 16th day of February, 1982, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did adopt Resolution No. 82R-95 find- ing and determining that public convenience and necessity required the Anaheim Stadium Traffic Control Improvements, consisting of the construction of various street improvements including raised median islands, sidewalk ramps, street pavement and the installation of traffic signing~ traffic signals~ interconnect cable and extinguish- able message signs, and all appurtenant work~ and WHEREAS, the City Council did authorize and direct the City Clerk to publish a notice according to law inviting sealed pro- posals for the furnishing of all plant, labor, materials and eguip- ment, and all utilities and transportation, and all work necessary for said public improvement which notice specified the 18th day of March, 1982, at the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M., as the date and hour for the opening of said bids in the Anaheim Civic Center Council Chambers, 200 South Anaheim Boulevard~ and WHEREAS, on said 18th day of March, 1982, at the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M., the City Clerk and City Engineer did open the bids received up to that hour, in public, in the Anaheim Civic Center Council Chambers, and the City Engineer did review said bids and did report the results thereof to the City Council at its regular meeting held on the 6th day of April, 1982~ and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the two bids received are not a representative number of bids for typical projects of this type and size~ and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that because of the in- volvement of Federal Funds, it would be in the best interests of the City to reject the two bids received and readvertise said public improvement at a later date. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that all bids received on the 18th day of March, 1982, reviewed by the City Engineer and submitted to the City Council on #"--- April 6, 1982, for the Anaheim Stadium Traffic Control Improvements, Account Nos. 24-795-6325-E5260 and 49-795-6325-E5260, be, and the same are hereby, rejected and that said public improvement be read- vertised at a later date. -1- ... .~. >~ THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 6th day of April, 1982.
