A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM ACCEPTING A GRANT FROM THE CALIFORNIA
OFFICE OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE PLANNING FOR IMPLE-
MENTING THE ANAHEIM CAREER CRIMINAL APPREHENSION
PROGRAM, AGREEING TO PROVIDE REQUIRED MATCHING
FUNDS, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS IN CONNECTION WITH SAID
GRANT.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires to undertake
a certain project designated Anaheim Career Criminal
Apprehension Program to be funded in part from funds made
available through State General Funds FY 81/82 as authorized
by Chapter 1167 of the 1978 Statutes for the Career Criminal
Apprehension Program, administered by the Office of Criminal
Justice Planning (hereafter referred to as OCJP).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City
Manager of the City of Anaheim is authorized, on its behalf
to submit the attached Application for Grant for Law Enforce-
ment Purposes to OCJP and is authorized to execute on behalf
of the City of Anaheim the attached Grant Award for law
enforcement purposes including any extensions or amendments
thereof.
BE.IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to
provide all'matching funas required for said project (including
any extension or amendment thereof) under the Career Criminal
Apprehension Program and the rules and regulations of OCJP and
that cash will be appropriated as required thereby.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received
hereunder shall not be used to supplant other law enforcement
expenditures controlled by the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by
the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 6th day of April,
1982.
