92-177 RESOLUTION NO. 92R- i77 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CiTY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING A LE~-FER OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION, GENERAL UNIT AND THE CITY OF ANAHEIM. WHEREAS, the Labor Relations Director met and conferred with officials and employee representatives of the Anaheim Municipal Employees Association, General Unit, on the effects of reasslgnlng certain Mapping work from the Planning Department to the Public Utilities Department; and WHEREAS, as a result thereof, a Letter of Understanding, dated August 10, 1992, delineates an agreement reached on the subject of the effects of reassigning certain Mapping work from the Planning Department to the Public Utilities Department; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find it in the best interest of the City of Anaheim to approve said Letter of Understanding. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE City Council of the City of Anaheim as follows: 1. This resolution applies to employees In the job classifications currently assigned to the Mapping Section of the Planning Department. These positions are as follows: Principal Englneerlng Aide (1) Senior Engineering Aide (3) 2. The Letter of Understanding dated August 10, 1992, between the Anaheim Municipal Employees Association, General Unit and the City of Anaheim copies of which are attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein, is hereby approved. CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AND ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION - GENERAL UNIT AFTER meeting and conferring on the effects of reasslgning the Mapping Section from the Planning Department to the Public Utilities Department on or about October 1, 1992 the parties have reached the following AGREEMENT. THIS AGREEMENT applies to employees In the Job classifications currently assigned to the Mapping Section of the Planning Department. These positions, and the Incumbents, are as follows: POSITION(S) INCUMBENT(S) I Principal Engineering Aide Don Foland ~, 3 Senior Engineering Aides Isom Johnson Thl Le Khac Nga Ngo THE parties have agreed that: 1. Conslatent with existing City practice, the above-noted employees shall retain their department seniority date with the Planning Department as their department seniority date with the Public Utilities Department. 2. Employees currently participating In a voluntary compressed work week schedule, Identified as the 'Nine Plan,' will continue to participate in a voluntary compressed work week schedule, in accordance with the existing agreement between the parties. 3. Employees being transferred from the Planning Department to the Public Utilities Department will be provided training as deemed appropriate by the Public Utilities Department, to enable the employees to perform their jobs In the Public Utilities Department. EXCEPT for items #1, #2, and #3 above, all other Issues related to the transfer of the Mapping Section from the Planning Department to the Public Utilities will be handled in accordance_with the existing MOU and rules.
