1981-413 RESOLUTION NO. 81R-413 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM ADOPTING A NEW FEE SCHEDULE OF SANITATION CHARGES AND REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 81R-261. ,,.........., WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim has established a policy to adopt all fee$ and charges to be collected within the City of Anaheim by resolution; and WHEREAS, the City Council has heretofore adopted Resolution No. 81R-261 establishing certain sanitation charges; and WHEREAS, the City Council f~nds it necessary and desirable to amend said charges at this time in the manner hereinafter set forth. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that the following fee schedule be, and the same is hereby, adopted for sanitation charges in the City of Anaheim: 1. RESIDENTIAL SOLID WASTE COtLECTION CHARGES (a) For standard collection (available to all residential dwelling units) consisting of one solid waste collection per week from disposable or reusable containers, the sum of Two Dollars and Ninety-Nine Cents ($2.99) per dwelling unit per month. (b) For bulk collection (available only to apartments, condominiums, and mobile homes which use the three cubic yard bulk contain- ers supplied by the City's solid waste collection contractor), the basic fee sum of Two Dollars and Seventy-Four Cents ($2.74) per dwelling unit per month. In addition to the basic fee, the cQntractor is entitled to charge, by direct bi1ling to the owner or manager requesting such service, an additional fee in accordance with the following schedule: Class of Service Frequency of Collection Monthly Charge ,-..... SO E S per week $SO.SO F 6 per week $S9.S0 - 1 - (c) For special collection (available to residential dwelling units which generate solid waste of a character or quantity which requires special collection), the charges shall be the reasonable cost of the removal thereof as determined by the Deputy City Manager of the City of Anaheim. 2. COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL SOLID WASTE COLLECTION CHARGES Solid waste collection services are available on a regularly scheduled basis to all comm~rcial and industrial establishments. Such establishments include motels, hotels, recreational vehicle parks, restaurants, professional offices, club houses, places of entertainment, manufacturing plants, private schools, and any other organization or business whether of a service, wholesale or retail variety, including nonprofit organizations. (a) For standard collection (available to all commercial or industrial establishments) consisting of one solid waste collection per customer per week from a maximum of four disposable or reusable containers, the sum of Two Dollars and Seventy-Five Cents ($2.7S) per container per month. (b) For bulk collection (available only to establishments which use the three cubic yard bulk containers supplied by the City's solid waste collection contractor), the following monthly fees shall apply: Class of Service Frequency of ~ollection Monthly Charge A 1 per week $29.00 B 2 per w~ek $37.00 C 3 per week $45.00 D 4 per w~ek $S3.00 E S per w~ek $61.00 F 6 per w!eek $70.00 ~ (c) For special collection (available to establish- ments which generate solid waste of a character or quantity which requires special collection), the charges shall be the reasonable cost of the removal thereof as determined by the Deputy City Manager of the City of Anaheim. - 2 - - 3. RESIDENTIAL SEWER MAINTENANCE CHARGES r-""" (a) For each residential dwelling unit located within the City of Anaheim to which a sewer main, owned and/or maintained by the City of Anaheim, is available, the sum of Twenty- Two Cents ($0.22) per dwelling unit per month. (b) For each residential dwelling unit located outside the corporate limits of the City of Anaheim but which is connected to the City sewer system and which receives water and/or electric service from the City of Anaheim, the sum of One Dollar ($1.00) per dwelling unit per month. (c) For each residential dwelling unit located outside the corporate limits of the City which is connected to the sewer system but which does not receive water and/or electric service from the City of Anaheim, the sum of Twenty Dollars ($20.00) per year. Said fee is due and payable on, or before the first day of July of each year. A penalty sum of Five Dollars ($S.OO) per month (not prorated) shall be added to the amount due at the beginning of each month, commencing with the first day of August for default of full payment. Said fee is nonrefundable, in whole or part, and shall be paid annually, in advance, to the Director of Finance of the City of Anaheim. 4. COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL SEWER MAINTENANCE CHARGES (a) For each commercial or industrial establishment including, but not limited to, motels, hotels, restaurants, professional offices, club houses, places of entertainment, manufacturing plants, public and private schools, and any other organization or busin~ss whether of a service, wholesale or retail variety, including nonprofit organizations (but excluding recreational vehicle parks), a fee of Forty-Five Cents ($0.45) per month for each water closet located therein. .......", (b) For each recreational vehicle park, a fee of Forty-Five Cents ($0.4S) per month for each water closet located therein, and an additional fee of Forty-Five Cents ($0.4S) per month for each recreational vehicle space equipped with a sewage disposal connection. - 3 - "': _.~ s. STREET CLEANING CHARGES ~ (a) For each residential dwelling unit located within the City of Anaheim, a fee of Seventy- Nine Cents ($0.79) per unit per month. (b) For each commercial or industrial establish- ment located within the City of Anaheim, a fee of One Dollar and Seventy-Five Cents ($1.75) per unit per month. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the provisions of this resolution shall be deemed effective September 1, 1981, and that Resolution No. 81R-261 shall be deemed repealed effective as of such date.
