A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM FINDING AND DET$RMINING THAT PUBLIC
CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUC-
TION AND COMPLETION OF A P~BLIC IMPROVEMENT, TO
WIT:
IMPERIAL HIGHWAY STREET IM~ROVEMENT, NOHL
RANCH ROAD TO RIVER VALLEYjTRAIL, IN THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM, ACCOUNT NO. l3-792-6325-E2720,
APPROVING THE DESIGNS, PLA~S, PROFILES, DRAWINGS
AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THEiCONSTRUCTION THEREOF;
AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTI~N OF SAID PUBLIC
IMPROVEMENT IN ACCORDANCE ~ITH SAID PLANS, SPECI-
FICATIONS, ETC.; AND AUTHO IZING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE INVITING
SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, public convenienc~ and necessity require the
construction and completion of a public improvement in the City
of Anaheim, to wit:
Imperial Highway street improve~ent, Nohl Ranch Road to
River Valley Trail, in the City jof Anaheim, consisting
of clearing and grubbingi excav~tioni construction of
P.C.C. curb and embossed concre~e; construction of base
materiali construction of aspha~t concretei installation
of signsi landscaping; construc~ion of irrigation and
electrical systems; methyl bromide planter fumigationi
fine grading and addition of s01l amendmentsi maintenance
periodi installation of boulder~i and all appurtenant work
as shown on the plans and delineated in the specifications
on file in the office of the City Engineer, Account No.

AND WHEREAS, the City Co~cil instructed the
Public Works Department to pr~pare detailed designs, plans,
profiles, drawings and specifications, and estimates of
quantities and costs and make necessjary surveys for the construc-
tion of said pUblic improvement; and

WHEREAS, said Public Works, Department has prepared
said detailed designs, plans, profil~s, drawines and specifica-
tions for the construction of said PUblic improvement and has
submitted the same to the City Council; and

WHEREAS, the City Council finds that said detailed
designs, plans, profiles, drawings amd specifications for said
public improvement above mentioned, ~re in accordance with good
engineering practice and are adequate to serve the needs and
requirements of the City of Anaheim ~nd the citizens and
residents in said area for the purpo$es for which they are
intended, and that they are adequate for the construction of
said public improvement and should be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council o~
the City of Anaheim that the detaile~ designs, plans, profiles,
drawings and specifications for said pUblic improvement herein-
above mentioned and described be, an~ the same are hereby
approved and adopted as prepared by $aid Public Works
Department
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said public improvement
shall be constructed in accordance with said detailed designs,
plans, profiles, drawings and specifications as prepared by said
PWi~ Works De,.artment and herehy approved, and such
a en a or modi ications thereto as may be approved prior to the
awarding of bids therefor.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of Anaheim be, and she is hereby autlliorized and directed to
publish a notice according to law, i$viting sealed proposals for
the furnishing of all plant, labor, $ervices, materials and
equipment, and all utilities and tra~sportation, including power,
fuel and water, and performing all w$rk necessary to construct
and complete, in a good and workmanltke manner, in strict
accordance with said detailed design$, plans, profiles, dra','/1:-1i':S
and specifications as prepared by said Public Works Department
, the pUblic improvements hereinabove
mentioned and described, and fixing the 8th day of October
19 8~ at the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M. as the date and hour for
the-opening of said bids at the City Council Chamber in the City
Hall in the City of Anaheim, and that said notice shalJ be
published twice, the first of which publications shall be at
least ten (10) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of
bids, and that said publications shall be at least five (5) days
apart.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the successful bidder
or bidders shall be required to enter into a contract with the
City of Anaheim in the manner and form approved by the City
Attorney of the City of Anaheim for the construction, installa-
tion and completion of said pUblic improvement hereinabove
mentioned and described, in accordance with the plans and
