A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM VACATING A PORTION OF SADDLEBACK LANE,
NORTH OF OAKVIEW LANE. (80 -17A)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did,
by resolution duly adopted, declare its intention to vacate
certain public streets, highways or public service easements
pursuant to the Public Streets, Highways and Service Easements
Vacation Law; and
WHEREAS, notice of a public hearing to consider said
vacation was posted and published in the manner prescribed by law;
and
WHEREAS, on the 8th day of June, 1982, a public hearing
was held to allow interested persons to submit evidence concerning
said proposed vacation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find, from the evidence
submitted, that the street, highway or public service easement
hereinafter specifically described is unnecessary for present or
prospective public purposes including nonmotorized transportation
facilities.
WHEREAS, the City Council does determine that the
public convenience and necessity require the reservation and
exception of the easement(s) and right(s) of way hereinafter
specifically described.
WHEREAS, if and to the extent that there are in place
public utility facilities in use for which easements are not
reserved and excepted by this resolution, the City Council hereby
determines that the public convenience and necessity requires that
no easements be reserved for such facilities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Anaheim does hereby order the vacation of a portion of
Saddleback Lane, more specifically described as follows:
Those portions of Saddleback Lane as shown on Tract No.
9215 and Tract No. 10940 in the City of Anaheim, County
of Orange, State of California, per maps filed in Book
462, pages 42 through 45, inclusive, and in Book 482,
pages 42 through 46, inclusive, respectively,
Miscellaneous Maps, in the Office of the County
Recorder of said Orange County, described as follows:
PARCEL 1 : Commencing at the centerline intersection of
Saddleback Lane with Oakview Lane as shown on said
Tract No. 10940; thence N 17 15' 00" W, 152.21 feet
along said centerline of Saddleback Lane to the north-
westerly terminus of said centerline; thence N 80° 20'
27" E, 45.00 feet to the true point of beginning, being
a point in the northeasterly line of said Saddleback
Lane, said point being also on a curve concave south-
westerly, southerly and easterly having a radius of
45.00 feet; thence Northwesterly, Westerly and South-
erly along said curve through a central angle of 224
27' 39" a length of 176.29 feet to a tangent reverse
curve concave southwesterly in the southwesterly line
of said Saddleback Lane having a radius of 55.00 feet;
thence Southeasterly along said curve through a central
angle of 2 27' 27" a length of 2.36 feet to a point on
a non - tangent curve concave southeasterly and southerly
having a radius of 45.00 feet to which a radial line
bears S 80° 08' 45" W; thence Northeasterly and East-
erly along said curve through a central angle of 132
52' 11" a length of 104.36 feet to the true point of
beginning.
RESERVING THEREFROM unto the City of Anaheim, an ease-
ment for public utility purposes over, under and across
the southerly 8.00 feet thereof together with all rea-
sonable rights of ingress and egress.
ALSO RESERVING THEREFROM unto the City of Anaheim a
10.00 -foot wide storm drain easement over that portion
of the above described parcel, described as follows:
Beginning at the southeasterly terminus of that certain
course shown as N 17 41' 00" W, 94.60 feet in the
southwesterly line of Lot 43 of said Tract No. 9215;
thence along the southeasterly prolongation of said
line S 17 41' 00" E, 30.01 feet to a point on a non -
tangent curve concave southeasterly having a radius of
45.00 feet to which a radial line bears N 25 14' 37"
W; thence Southwesterly along said curve through a cen-
tral angle of 13 09' 36" a length of 10.34 feet to a
point on a line lying 10.00 feet southwesterly measured
at right angles, from that certain course hereinabove
described as S 17 41' 00" E, 30.01 feet; thence along
said parallel line N 17° 41' 00" W, 32.27 feet to a
point on that certain curve in the southeasterly line
of Lot 44 of said tract having a radius of 45.00 feet
to which a radial line bears N 25 31' 53" W; thence
Northeasterly along said curve on said lot line through
a central angle of 12 45' 42" a length of 10.02 feet
to the point of beginning, together with all reasonable
rights of ingress and egress

PARCEL 2 : Those portions of the 8.00 -foot wide public
utility easements shown on said Tract No. 9215 and
Tract No. 10940, adjacent to that portion of Saddleback
Lane shown on said tracts lying northwesterly of a line
perpendicular to the centerline of said Saddleback Lane
that passes through a point on said centerline distant
thereon N 17 15' 00" W, 51.09 feet from the centerline
intersection of Saddleback Lane with Oakview Lane as
shown on Tract No. 10940.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the vacation authorized by
this resolution shall not be effective until a certified copy of
this resolution is recorded in the Office of the Recorder of
Orange County.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 8th day of June, 1982.
