A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM VACATING A PORTION OF RIDGEVIEW ROAD,
SOUTH OF LOOKOUT LANE. (81 -9A)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did,
by resolution duly adopted, declare its intention to vacate
certain public streets, highways or public service easements
pursuant to the Public Streets, Highways and Service Easements
Vacation Law; and
WHEREAS, notice of a public hearing to consider said
vacation was posted and published in the manner prescribed by law;
and
WHEREAS, on the 8th day of June, 1982, a public hearing
was held to allow interested persons to submit evidence concerning
said proposed vacation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find, from the evidence
submitted, that the street, highway or public service easement
hereinafter specifically described is unnecessary for present or
prospective public purposes including nonmotorized transportation
facilities.
WHEREAS, if and to the extent that there are in place
public utility facilities in use for which easements are not
reserved and excepted by this resolution, the City Council hereby
determines that the public convenience and necessity requires that
no easements be reserved for such facilities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Anaheim does hereby order the vacation of a portion of
Ridgeview Road, south of Lookout Lane, more specifically described
as follows:
PARCEL 1:
That portion of Ridgeview Road shown on Tract No.
10940, in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State
of California, as per map filed in Book 482, pages 42
through 46, inclusive, Miscellaneous Maps, in the
Office of the County Recorder of said Orange County,
lying southerly of the following described line:
Beginning at a point in the northerly line of Lot 5 of
said Tract, said point being the easterly terminus of
that certain course shown as N 88 31' 00" W, 44.00
feet in said northerly line; thence S 88 31' 00" E,
16.42 feet to a tangent curve concave northwesterly
having a radius of 72.00 feet, the northerly terminus
of said curve being tangent to that certain course
shown as N 1 29' 00" E, 90.26 feet in the easterly
line of Ridgeview Road, as shown on said tract; thence
Northeasterly along said curve through a central angle
of 90 00' 00" and a length of 113.10 feet to a point
in said easterly line of Ridgeview Road distant thereon
S 1 29' 00" W, 43.50 feet from the northerly terminus
thereof.
Reserving therefrom unto the City of Anaheim, an
easement for public utility purposes over, under and
across the northerly 8.00 feet thereof, together with
all reasonable rights of ingress and egress.
Also reserving therefrom unto the City of Anaheim, a
20.00 -foot wide easement for water line purposes over
that portion of the herein above described Parcel 1,
lying easterly and southeasterly of the following
described line:
Beginning at said easterly terminus of that certain
course shown as N 88 31' 00" W, 44.00 feet in the
northerly line of Lot 5 of said Tract No. 10940; thence
S 88 31' 00" E, 16.42 feet to the beginning of said
tangent curve concave northwesterly having a radius of
72.00 feet; thence Northeasterly along said curve
through a central angle of 7 19' 00" an arc distance
of 9.19 feet to the true point of beginning; thence S
5 50' 00" E, 59.00 feet; thence S 26 38' 00" W to a
point of terminus on the southerly line of said herein
above described Parcel 1, sidelines of said 20.00 -wide
easement to terminate at the northerly and southerly
lines of said Parcel 1.
PARCEL 2:
That portion of the 8 -foot wide public utility easement
shown on Tract No. 10940, per map filed in Book 482,
pages 42 through 46, inclusive, Miscellaneous Maps, in
the Office of the County Recorder of said County lying
adjacent to and easterly, southerly and westerly of the
following described portion of Ridgewood Road shown on
said map:

Beginning at a point distant S 1 29' 00" W, 43.50 feet
from the northerly terminus of that certain course
shown as N 1 29' 00" E, 90.26 feet in the easterly
line of Ridgeview Road shown on said map; thence along
the sideline of said Ridgeview Road the following
courses: S 1 29' 00" W, 46.76 feet to a tangent curve
concave northeasterly having a radius of 55.00 feet,
southeasterly along said curve through a central angle
of 34 54' 55" a length of 33.52 feet to a tangent
reverse curve concave westerly, northerly and easterly
having a radius of 45.00 feet, southerly, westerly and
northerly along said curve through a central angle of
227 45' 17" a length of 178.88 feet to a tangent
reverse curve concave southwesterly having a radius of
18.00 feet and along said curve through a central angle
of 102 50' 22" a length of 32.31 feet to the terminus
of herein described portion of Ridgeview Road; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the vacation authorized by
this resolution shall not be effective until a certified copy of
this resolution is recorded in the Office of the Recorder of
Orange County.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 8th day of June, 1982.
