A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM PERTAINING TO PAYMENT OF
ACTING PAY TO EXEMPT MANAGEMENT EMPLOYEES
UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim determines the terms and
conditions of employment by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended and the
City Council has determined that it is in the best interests
of the City of Anaheim to provide for payment of acting pay
under certain conditions to exempt management employees in
job classes designated by an "X" before schedule numbers in
the salary resolutions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that an exempt management employee
appointed to serve in an acting capacity during an unplanned
absence from work of another exempt management employee may
after 30 calendar days be compensated at any salary step
determined by the City Manager in the salary schedule of the
job class in which such employee is acting.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that before any exempt manage-
ment employee of the City is appointed to an acting Department
Head position by the City Manager, such appointment shall first
have been reviewed and approved by the City Council of the City
of Anaheim.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the effective date
of this resolution shall be July 16, 1982.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by
the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 20th day of July,
1982.
