92-153 RESOLUTION NO. 92R-.L53 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING A LETI'ER OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE INTERNATIONAL BROTHERHOOD OF ELECTRICAL WORKERS, LOCAL 47 AND THE CITY OF ANAHEIM. WHEREAS, the Labor Relations Director met and conferred with officials and employee representatives of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 47, on the effects of reasslgning certain work from Maintenance Department to the Stadium Department; and This resolution applies to employees in the following job classifications: Apprentice HVAC Mechanic HVAC Mechanic Facility and Event Electrician Lead HVAC Mechanic Lead Facility and Event Electrician WHEREAS, as a result thereof, a Letter of Understanding, dated June 25, 1992, delineates an agreement reached on the subject of the effects of reaesigning certain work from Maintenance Department to the Stadium Department. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that is in the beat Interests of the City of Anaheim to approve said Letter of Underatanding. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that the Letter of Underatanding dated June 25, 1992, between the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 47 and the City of Anaheim copies of which are hereto attached and Incorporated by refgrence herein, are approved. CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CiTY OF ANAHEIM AND INTERNATIONAL BROTHERHOOD OF ELECTRICAL WORKERS, LOCAL NO. 47 AFTER meeting and conferlng on the effects of reasslgning certain work from the Maintenance Department to the Stadium Department on or about July 3, 1992 the parties have reached the following AGREEMENT. THIS AGREEMENT applies to employees In the rolowing Job classifications: Apprentice HVAC Mechanic HVAC Mechanic Facility and Event Electrician Lead HVAC Mechanic Lead Facility and Event Electrician FOR s period of twenty-four (24) months from July 3, 1992 to June 30, 1994, the employees In the above job classifications shall retain their Maintenance Department seniority date(s) for purposes of lay-off and reassignment In both the Stadium Department and the Maintenance Department. THEREAFTER, the employees in the job classifications listed above assigned from the Maintenance Department to the Stadium Department on July 3, 1992 shall retain their Maintenance Department seniority as their Stadium Department seniority date. I.B.E.W., Local #47 and the City of Anaheim retain the right to discuss this Issue In the future under the provisions of the Discussion Article of the Memorandum of Understanding between the parties.
