RESOLUTION NO. 8lR-464
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COQNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETE~MINING THAT PUBLIC
CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY REIQUIRE THE CONSTRUC-
TION AND COMPLETION OF A PUaLIC IMPROVEMENT, TO
WIT:
STREET & SEWER RECONSTRUCTION, WESTRIDGE CIRCLE/
RURAL RIDGE CIRCLE, TRACTS 71566, 7569, IN THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM, ACCOUNT NO. 11-790-6325-E0260,
APPROVING THE DESIGNS, PLAN~, PROFILES, DRAWINGS
AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE dONSTRUCTION THEREOF;
AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID PUBLIC
IMPROVEMENT IN ACCORDANCE W~TH SAID PLANS, SPECI-
FICATIONS, ETC.; AND AUTHOR~ZING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE INVITING
SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, public convenience and necessity require the
construction and completion of a publiic improvement in the City
of Anaheim, to wit:
Street and sewer reconstruction, Westridge Circle/Rural
Ridge Circle, Tracts 7566 & 7569( in the City of
Anaheim, consisting of the constli"uction of 6" & 8" P.V.C.,
8" V.C.P.; P.C.C. sidewalk, curb and gutter, drive ap-
proaches, junction structures; a$phalt concrete and all
appurtenant work as shown on the plans and delineated in
the specifications on file in the office of the City
Engineer, Account No. 11-790-6325-E0260.

AND WHEREAS, the City Counc~l instructed the
Public Works Department to prep~re detailed designs, plans,
profiles, drawings and specifications. and estimates of
quantities and costs and make necessary surveys for the construc-
tion of said pUblic improvement; and

WHEREAS, said Public W~ Department has prepared
said detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifica-
tions for the construction of said pUQlic improvement and has
submitted the same to the City Councilj and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that said detailed
designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications for said
pUblic improvement above mentioned, are in accordance with good
engineering practice and are adequate to serve the needs and
requirements of the City of Anaheim and the citizens and
residents in said area for the purpos~s for which they are
intended, and that they are adequate for the construction of
said pUblic improvement and should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council o~
the City of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans, profiles,
drawings and specifications for said pUblic improvement herein-
above mentioned and described be, and the sane are hereby
approved and adopted as prepared by said Public Works Department
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said pUblic improvement
shall be constructed in accordance with said detailed designs,
plans, profiles, drawings and specifications as prepared by said
Public Works De1artment and herehy approved, and such
addenda or modi ications thereto as may be approved prior to the
awarding of bids therefor.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of Anaheim be, and she is hereby authorized and directed to
publish a notice according to law, inviting sealed proposals for
the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and
equipment, and all utilities and transportation, including power,
fuel and water, and performing all work necessary to construct
and complete, in a good and workmanlike manner, in strict
accordance with said detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawln;-:s
and specifications as prepared by said Public Works
~~~artm~nt , the pUblic improvements hereinabove
rnentione and described, and fixing the 29th day of October
19~~ at the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M. as the date and hour for
the opening of said bids at the City Council Chamber in the City
Hall in the City of Anaheim, and that said notice shall be
published twice, the first of which pUblications shall be at
least ten (10) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of
bids, and that said pUblications shall be at least five (5) days
ap art.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the successful bidder
or bidders shall be required to enter into a contract with the
City of Anaheim in the manner and form approved by the City
Attorney of the City of Anaheim for the construction, installa-
tion and completion of said pUblic improvement hereinabove
mentioned and described, in accordance with the plans and
