A RESOLUTION. OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITIES OF ANAHEIM,
COSTA MESA, GARDEN GROVE, SANTA ANA, LA HABRA,
AND ORANGE AND THE NATIONAL CENTER FOR MUNICI-
PAL DEVELOPMENT, INC. PERTAINING TO THE JOINT
EMPLOYMENT OF A LEGISLATIVE REPRESENTATIVE,
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE .SAID AGREEMENT OF BEHALF OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, Section 50025 of the California Government
Cade permits the employment of legislative representatives by
local governmental. entities; and
WHEREAS, Section 6500 of the California Government
Code provides for the joint exercise of powers by-local govern-
mental entities; and
WHEREAS, the Cities of Anaheim, Costa Mesa, Garden Grove,
Santa Ana, La Habra, and Orange believe that it is in the best
interests of said Cities to employ a legislative representative
to represent said Cities- before the Congress and other .Federal
agencies.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the terms and
conditions of an agreement between the Cities of Anaheim, Costa
Mesa, Garden Grove, Santa Ana, La Habra, and Orange and the
National Center for Municipal Development, Inc. pertaining to the
joint. employment of a legislative representative be, aced the same
are hereby, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are
authorized to execute said agreement on behalf of the City of
Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTLON is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 16th day of June, 1981.
