1981-015RESOLUTION N0. 81R-15 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE -~ CITY OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO ISSUE LEGAL NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE PURCHASE OF SURPLUS CITY PROPERTIES. WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim is the owner of the hereinafter described surplus properties; and WHEREAS, said real properties are not needed for municipal purposes; and WHEREAS, the City will incur continuing maintenance expense if the parcels are retained by the City; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is for the benefit and best interest of the City of Anaheim to sell and convey said real properties. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Anaheim authorize the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim to give legal notice inviting sealed proposals for the purchase of said real properties as follows: 1. Pursuant to the Anaheim City Charter, the City Clerk is to advertise the sale of said parcels of land setting a definite time, date, and place for the opening bids; and 2. The minimum acceptable bid would be the appraised value with a ten percent (10%) deposit submitted with each bid; and 3. The applicants are to arrange their own financing; and 4. The City Clerk is to give notice to the County of Orange and the State of California, pursuant to Government Code Section 54220 et seq. that the City Council intends to dispose of the described surplus property; and 5. The parcels proposed for sale are owned by the City of Anaheim and are situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, described to wit: PARCEL 1: C.P. 248 A potential light industrial site located at the N/s/o La Palma Avenue 35 feet, more or less, E/o Van Buren Street. Approximately 1 acre. Appraised Value: X217,300. Legal Description: That portion of the Northwest quarter of Section 4, Township 4 South, Range 9, West, S.B.B. & M., described as follows, including that portion of .the South Half of Coronado Street abandoned by the City of Anaheim per Resolution recorded in Book 12994, page 1311, Records of said Orange County, described as follows: Beginning at the northeast corner of Parcel 1 as shown on a parcel map recorded in Book 131, page 26, Parcel Maps, records of said Orange County; thence N 02° 14' 45" E, 20.00 feet to an intersection with the centerline of Coronado Street; thence Easterly along the centerline of said Coronado Street, now abandoned, 674.79 feet to an intersection with the centerline of La Palma Avenue, said point of intersection being a point in a curve concave southeasterly and having a radius of 1600.00 feet, a radial line bearing N 11° 17' 36" W passes through said point of intersection; thence following along a portion of the centerline of said La Palma Avenue southwesterly through a central angle of 9° 08' 16" an arc distance of 255.17 feet to the beginning of a non tangent curve concave southeasterly and having a radius of 1600.00 feet, a radial line bearing N 20° 25' 52" W passes through said point; thence continuing along a portion of the centerline of said La Palma Avenue along the last mentioned curve through a central angle of 16° 40' 18" an arc distance of 465.56 feet to a point in said curve, a radial line bearing i1 37° 06' 10" W passes through said point; thence N 37° 06' 10" W 53.00 feet to an intersection with the easterly line of Parcel No. 1, as shown on the aforementioned parcel map recorded in Book 131, page 26; thence N 02° 14' 45" E, 230.84 feet to the point of beginning. Reserving therefrom unto the City of Anaheim. An easement for road and public utility purposes over, under and across the southerly 53.00 feet of all that land described above in Parcel No. 1, the northerly line of said southerly 53.00 feet being parallel with and 53.00 feet northerly of the centerline of La Palma Avenue as described above in Parcel 1, said northerly line to be extended westerly to its intersection with the east line of Parcel 1 of parcel map recorded in Book 131, page 26, Parcel Maps, records of Orange County and extended east- erly to its intersection with the centerline of Coronado Street. PARCEL 2: C.P. 243 A remnant parcel of land located at the easterly terminus of Valdina Street south of La Palma Avenue west of Brook- hurst Street, north of Crescent. Appraised Value: $14,500. Legal-Description: Lot 97, Tract No. 1202, as per map recorded in Book 37, pages 27 and 28, Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California. Subject to easements and reservations of record. THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 20th day of January, 1981.
