A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM AMENDING RESOLUTION N0. 80R-428 RELATING
TO PREMIUM PAY PROVISIONS.
WHEREAS, Resolution N0. 77R-801 established Premium Pay
provisions; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 80R-428 amended Resolution No. 77R-801
by adding Section 6.45 which established premium pay provisions for
certain employees assigned as Field Training Officers; and
WHEREAS, the Human Resources Director has recommended in a
Staff Report dated January 28, 1981 that Personnel Rule 6, Premium
Pay, be amended to provide for premium pay for additional Police Depart-
ment classifications whose incumbents are assigned Field Training Officer
duties; and
WHEREAS, as a result thereof, the need exists to amend Resolution
No. 80R-428 which created the Field Training Officer premium pay provision;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that the
adoption of the recommended new provision is in the best i:n.terests of the
City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim that Resolution No. 80R-428 be amended to read as follows effective
January 30, 1981:
"6.45 Employees in the following job classes who are temporarily
assigned as Field Training Officers shall receive a two and
one-half percent (2-1/2%) pay differential for all time worked
while assigned as a Field Training Officer.
Police Officer
Police Officer - Detective
Police Officer - Master Advanced
Police Officer - Master Intermediate
Police Officer - Senior Master Advanced
Police Officer - Senior Master Intermediate
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that except to the extent amended, Resolution
No. 80R-428 shall remain in full force and effect.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City
Council of the City of Anaheim this 3rd day of
February 1981.
