A RESOLUTION OF THE. CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AN APPLICATION
TO THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY
ADMINISTRATION (.NHTSA) FOR GRANT FUNDS
TO BE USED FOR A STAGE I STREETSCAPE
PROGRAM; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
OR HIS DESLGNATED REPRESENTATIVE TO
EXECUTE AND FILE: SAID APPLICATION
WHEREAS:,- the: C y Council of the-City of Anaheim
desires- to submit an application to the National Highway
Traffic 'Safety Administration (NHTSA)_ for. grant funds
in an amount not to exceed $165,OQQ.QQ to be used for a
Stage h Streetscape Program; and
WHEREAS, said Program would address- the develop-
ment and installation of interchangeable message. signing
in th.e study area of Katella Avenue between Harbor
Boulevard and West Street.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of th.e City of Anaheim that the application to the
National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA)
for grant funds-for a Stage I Streetscape Program be,
and the name is hereby, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager,
or his designated representative be, and he is hereby
authorized to execute. and file said application and all
other necessary documents- in connection therewith.
