A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
APPROVING A LEI-rER OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE
INTERNATIONAL BROTHERHOOD OF ELECTRICAL WORKERS, LOCAL 47
AND THE CITY OF ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, the Labor Relations Director met and conferred with officials and
employee representatives of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local
47, on the effects of reasslgnlng certain work from the Maintenance Department to the
Convention Center; and
WHEREAS, this resolution applies to employees in the following job
classifications:
Apprentice HVAC Mechanic
HVAC Mechanic
Facility and Event Electrician
Lead HVAC Mechanic
Lead Facility and Event Electrician; and
WHEREAS, as a result thereof, a Letter of Understanding, dated October 28,
1992, delineates an agreement reached on the subject of the effects of teassigning
certain work from the Maintenance Department to the Convention Center Department; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that it is in the
best interest of the City of Anaheim to approve said Letter of Understanding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Anaheim
that the Letter of Understanding dated October 28, 1992, between the International
Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 47 and the City of Anaheim copies of which
are hereto attached and incorporated by reference herein, are approved.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council of the

LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING
BETWEEN
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
AND
INTERNATIONAL BROTHERHOOD OF ELECTRICAL WORKERS, LOCAL NO. 47
AFTER meeting and conferring on the effects of teassigning certaln work from the
Maintenance Department to the Convention Center on or about January 1, 1993 the
parties have reached the following AGREEMENT.
THIS AGREEMENT applies to employees In the following job classifications:
Apprentice HVAC Mechanic
HVAC Mechanic
Facility and Event Electrician
Lead HVAC Mechanic
Lead Facility and Event Electrician
FOR a period of twenty-four (24) months from January 1, 1993 to December 29, 1994,
the employees in the above Job classifications shall retain their Maintenance
Department seniority date(s) for purposes of lay-off and reassignment in both the
Convention Center and the Maintenance Department.
THEREAFTER, the employees in the job classifications listed above assigned from the
Maintenance Department to the Convention Center on January 1, 1993 shall retain
their Maintenance Department seniority as their Convention Center seniority date.
I.B.E.W., Local #47 and the City of Anaheim retain the right to discuss this Iss[me
In the future under the provisions of the Discussion Article of the Memorandum of
Understanding between the parties.
