A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUBLIC
CONVENIEt1CE AND NECESSITY RERUIRE THE CONSTRUC-
~"~` TION AND COMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT, TO
WIT:
STRUCTURE MODIFICATION AND REMODEL AT FIRE
STATION N0. 6, 1330 SOUTH EUCLID STREET, IN THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM, ACCOUNT N0. 24-915-7107,
APPROVING THE DESIGNS, PLANS, PROFILES, DRAWINGS
AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF;
AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID PUBLIC
IMPROVEMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SAID PLANS, SPECI-
FICATIONS, ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE INVITING
SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, public convenience and necessity req uire the
construction and completion of a public improve ment in the City
of Anaheim, to wit:
Structure modification and remodel at Fire Station No.
6, 1330 South Euclid Street, in the City of Anaheim,.
consisting of, but not specifically limited to, demoli-
tion, removal and relocation of electrical, heating and
ventilation, plumbing, etc.; the modification to Fire
Station No. 6 is approximately 276 sq. ft. in floor area,
483 sq. ft. in roof area and 270 sq. ft. in slab area and
the contractor shall be responsible for all carpentry,
doors, concrete, roofing, masonry, painting, plastering,
structural steel, etc., with the furnishing of all labor,
materials, appliances, transportation, fuel and services
required for the satisfactory completion of the expanded
floor space and modification as shown on the plans and
delineated in the specifications for this project on file
in the office of the City Engineer, Account No. 24-915-7107.
AND WHEREAS, the City Council instructed the
Public Works Department to prepare detailed des gns, plans,
pro iles, drawings and specs ications, and estimates of
quantities and costs and make necessary surveys for the construc-
tion of said public improvement; and

WHEREAS, said Public Works De art has prepared
said detailed designs, plans, pro les, drawings and specifica-
tions for the construction of said public improvement and has
submitted the same to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that said detailed
designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications for said
public improvement above mentioned, are in accordance with good
engineering practice and are adequate to serve the needs and
requirements of the City of Anaheim and the citizens and
residents in said area for the purposes for which they are
j_ntended, and that they are adequate for the construction of
said public improvement and should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council on
the City of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans, profiles,
drawings and specifications for said public improvement herein-
above mentioned and described be, and the same are hereby
approved and adopted as prepared b,y said Public Works
Department
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said public improvement
shall be constructed in accordance with said detailed designs,
plans, profiles, drawings and specifications as prepared by said
Public Works Department and hereby approved, and such
addenda or mo cat ons thereto as may be approved prior to the
awarding of bids therefor.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of Anaheim be, and she is hereby authorized and directed to
publish a notice according to law, inviting sealed proposals for
the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and
equipment, and all utilities and transportation, including power,
fuel and water, and performing all work necessary to construct
and complete, in a good and workmanlike manner, in strict
accordance with said detailed designs, plans, profiles, dra~.tiin-s
and specifications as prepared by said Public Works
Department , the public improvements hereinabove
ment oned and described, and fixing the 2nd day of April ,
19 81, at the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.P-7. as the date and hour _°or
the opening of said bids at the City Council Chamber in the City
Hall in the City of Anaheim, and that said notice shall be
published twice, the first of which publications shall be at
least ten (10) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of
bids, and that said publications shall be at least five (5) days
apart.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the successful bidder
or bidders shall be required to enter into a contract with the
City of Anaheim in the manner and form approved by the City
Attorney of the City of Anaheim for the construction, installa-
tion and completion of said public improvement hereinabove
mentioned and described, in accordance with the plans and

specifications prepared by said ,
