1981-185RESOLUTION No. 81R-1s5 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CI°1'Y OF ANAHEII~1 ADOPTING A LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING BETtiJEEN THE CITY OF AIVAHEII~1 AI~iD LOCAL UNI01v 1V0 . 47 , Ii~TTE£.NATIOiVA"L BP`OTHERHOOD OF ELEC- TRICAL WOP.KEI:S, AFL-CIO T~JHEREAS, on February 24, 1981, the City Council approved Resolution No. 81R-82 adopting; a Memorandum of Under- standing between the City of Anaheim and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local Union No. 47 ("IBEGJ") ; and WHEP.EAS, the City Management Iepresentative has consulted with. staff officials of IBEW to clarify certain portions of the Memorandum of Understanding; and GTHEF.EAS, as a result thereof, a Letter of Under- standing dated April 13, 1981 between the parties, which clar- ifies the intent of both parties, has been prepared and signed; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of .Anaheim does find that adoption of said Letter of Understanding; is in the best interests of the City of Anaheim. ~10Tw', THEF~EI'OkE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council oz the City of Anaheim that the Letter of Understandir~,<; dated April 13, 1981, between tn.e City of Anaheim and IBEG7 is hereL-y approved and adopted. When employees are given advance notice of less than eight (8) regular working hours for overtime work, one hour travel t~.~e at the appropriate overtime rate shall be added before the prearranged overtime period, except that employees required to work such prearranged overtime immediately prior to their scheduled work day, shall have one-half (~) hour pay at the appro- priate overtime rate added to the beginning of such prearranged overtime to compensate for travel time. Electricians knife ARTICLE XXIV MEDICAL EXAMS page 20 Anaheim agrees to make available at City expense to employees who regularly climb utility poles, towers, or-cork out of:buekets-as part of their work, an in-depth multiphasic annual medical examination. This examination will be scheduled on a normal work day and will be available to employees only on that scheduled day.
