A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
APPROVING TWO LEI-FERS OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE
ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION, GENERAL AND
CLERICAL UNIT AND THE CITY OF ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, the Labor Relations Director met and conferred with officials and
employee representatives of the Anaheim Municipal Employees Association, General and
Clerical Unit to discuss specific concerns relative to amending the Memoranda of
Understanding; and
WHEREAS, the Association Is In agreement with the recommendations contained
in said Letters of Understanding; and
WHEREAS, as a result thereof, the Letters of Understanding dated October 15,
1992 between the parties have been prepared and signed; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that It Is in the
best interest of the City of Anaheim to approve said Letters of Understanding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Anaheim
that the Letters of Understanding dated October 15, 1992 between the Anaheim Municipal
Employees Association General and Clerical Unit, and the City of Anaheim, copies of
which are attached hereto and Incorporated by reference herein, are hereby approved.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim this 20t:h day of Oct:ober , 1992.

LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING
BETWEEN THE
ANAHEIM MUNiCiPAL EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION - GENERAL UNIT
AND THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM
AFTER meeting and conferring on the effects of the Library Department's
determination to use contract services to perform technical services work
the parties have reached an understanding as follows:
1. Victoria Burnett will be reassigned to Library Public Services
not later than November 20, 1992.
2. Bea North will remain in Library Technical Services as a
Librarian III until July 1, 1993.
3. On July 2, 1993, Bee North will be laid off and reassigned from
Ubrarlsn III (Technical Services) to Librarian I (Public
Services) In Accordance with Article 29 of the Memorandum of
Understanding.
4. Bee North will be eligible to participate in any severance
benefits available on July 1, 1993 at the time of her Layoff and
Reassignment.
5. The parties agree that this understanding shall not serve as a
precedent for any other meet and confer understanding, grievance,
other dispute or lawsuit.
